Angelos Restaurant at the New Inn in Amber Valley

Food good, although large portions. Quite busy for a Monday evening, so very popular. Easy to park on the main street after 6pm was free.

I've been meaning to try this place for a while and I'm glad I finally did! The atmosphere is casual and relaxed, but all the staff are friendly and very efficient. The food was absolutely lovely. All the dishes were full of flavour, cooked perfectly and nicely presented. The choice is good and its not over-priced. We will definitely be back!

Edited: I have had a bit of a disappointment but the manager was lovely and everything was resolved. I'm looking forward to visiting Angelo's again.Original post: When I booked Angelo's for my fiancées 30th, everyone I know told me I've chosen the best place for it. When I booked it over 2 months in advance, I said a couple of times that it was for the 30th and I asked if we could get a desert with a candle to make it more special. I was ensured that there would be a board and also a sweet. I also called again on the day to remind we are coming for 30th birthday. When we arrived, we were told we could sit anywhere and there was no special treatment at all and there was not even a verbal 'happy birthday' from staff. I'm quite disappointed as this was my number 1 choice for my fiancees surprise.

The staff are amazing, they care about what they do and in how they go about it. The food is good and the portions are huge. Would suggest that you choose the smaller size plates and try a variety. Parking is tight outside but it all works.

Absolutely delicious meal.One of the best types of meals I've had. It was a combination of lasagne / pasta/ chicken / meat / cheese / sauce combined. Not sure what it was called.Would highly recommend and I will be coming back for sure.Delicious.Went back last night, another superb meal. I had pie and the meat was overflowing. I've never seen so much meat in a pie before. Fantastic, if I could give a other 5 stars I would.

What a beautiful little find, situated at the side of the Kings Head in Duffield. Service wasn't the best, although there was plenty of waitresses walking around and kept popping there heads up in to the area we were seated, it seemed they didn't have enough to do, so pushing a fork on an empty table or re-adjusting salt n pepper pots on empty tables was taking it a bit far. Waiting time for food was okay, but at no point did anyone come and ask if it was okay, until we finished. The plates were taken, but no offer of dessert menu. When the dessert menu was given no explanation of what the Home made cheesecake or hot pudding was, I had to ask another waitress. When the dessert plates were collected, would have been nice if was asked if would like coffee or anything else. Just felt that the Waiting staff didn't know how to go that extra mile, explaining what fresh vegetables of the day were, what desserts were etc., We will go again, to see if it improves. Couldn't fault the food though x

Absolutely fantastic food & service. We have visited with our 2 month old and the staff were welcoming and friendly. Fantastic atmosphere. I’m gluten free and the vast range of options was amazing - not something I’m at all used to when eating out. Both mine and my husbands meals tasted amazing and were served hot and fresh. Would definitely like to come back!!

Gorgeous meal. Food was fresh, tasty. Staff and service excellent. On a rainy day. We were kept warm and safe undercover outside as lockdown restrictions are eased. This is now one of our new favourite places.

Just experienced a lovely lunch at Angelos . Was worried about eating al fresco but the covered area with heaters was amazing. The food was tasty and piping hot. Will definitely be returning. Thank you

It's taken us ages to actually get round to booking a table but decided to take our friend here for his birthday. We were really impressed with the food and the service. I had a steak which was cooked perfectly and the chips and onion rings were amazing. The rest of the meals were great and it's a lovely atmosphere and the staff were lovely. To top it off they even brought out a surprise dessert with a candle on for the birthday boy. Thanks for a great meal.
