Brewers Fayre in Amber Valley

Had a lovely meal at the restaurant. 3 year old daughter accidentally left her cuddly elephant behind. Didn't realise till we got home so phoned up and asked if we sent an envelope would they post it back (lived too far away from restaurant) and they said yes. Within 2 days we had the elephant back and a note enclosed detailing the elephants adventure over the last few days. Truly is the most amazing customer service, really much appreciated. Would definitely go back!!

Visited here for breakfast recently. It wasn't busy on arrival or during our visit. Food was alright. Staff were OK, but we had to ask for cups as they were not any left, orange juice was pretty much empty. No clean spoons left for Cereals/Yogurts, when asking a member of staff to be told there are spoons and pointed us in the direction of the spoons at the coffee tea area. We ended up using the long latte spoon to eat with! Theres also no sign on the toasting machine to not cook pastries as they apparently get stuck, staff came over and said they would cook it in the kitchen, as a customer the other week set off fire alarm from using it. So your aware and still don't have a notice or small sign up, only for it to almost happen again? Not overly impressed with customer service. Wouldn't use again.

The staff at this establishment are what makes it. They are all so friendly, work really hard and go out of their way in being attentive. The food is basic but for what you pay you cannot grumble. A few simple tweeks and this place could be better. Stop the queuing at the bar to order drinks and food. Table service would keep the guests happier and make things less stressful for the staff. Perhaps up the quality of the food, especially when it is the food offering for the Premier Inn guests. Would we visit again when in the area....yes we would.

Yuk. One of the worst meals I have had in a chain restaurant. Serving staff were lovely and switched on, but the cooks (they are not chefs) need to go back to culinary school. Greasy chicken wings, as a starter, over cooked chicken breast and ribs with sauce from a jar. My wife's battered cod turned up unbattered. Chips were soggy and under-cooked and the lettuce was limp. £35 for one starter and two simple mains. I would not give you £3.50 for it. I had low expectations and they failed to meet even those!

We were told that there would be a wait of 30 minutes for our food. However, having waited 60 minutes without having our meal, we asked about it. We were told that the order had been lost and they would bring our food to the table. A short while later, we were finally fed. Other than the time taken, the meal was good and the staff welcoming and polite.

Took my little girl here for a little date just me and her and we absolutely loved it the food was beautiful and the staff was all so kind and helpful.

What a fantastic meal we have just had at Castlewood.. Smothered platter is just something else... Brilliant value for money, very quick and efficient service, very helpful and friendly staff.. Definitely worth a visit... Highly recommended

Best roast on a cold, wet and windy Sunday! The meat is delicious and we loved the selection of veggies as there were plenty of healthy vegetarian and vegan options. The prices are affordable, the staff welcoming and plenty of parking available too. We also enrolled in their loyalty scheme as we travel a lot and the Brewers make a great breakfast, lunch or dinner break!

Had a cheap and cheerful family dinner whist youngest ran around the play area. Made for a relaxed time . Staff are friendly/nice, beer is good , food is what you expect from this place. All good.

Such a fantastic place to eat, we went for a family meal and the food was amazing, the staff where friendly and helpful and the place was well set out and clean. Amazing play area aswell for little ones. All in all an amazing day out. Thank you.
