Croots Farm Shop & Kitchen in Amber Valley

Very nice stocked farm shop, quite pricey (but they always are). Cafe is good, excellent service and great play area/sandpit for the kids. Our server (young gentleman, fair hair in his late 20s) was extremely welcoming, friendly and professional. Hats off to him. Can't wait to return and sit outside in the summer with an ice cream and a coffee!

Just had a lovely lunch at the cafe and then bought a few lovely things at the farm shop.. Definitely worth a visit. Really impressed with the quality of the produce.. Staff are polite and friendly too..

Fabulous quality locally owned and sourced meat/ veg and great deli. Also fab grocery products and some gifts. Cafe also but I've not used so can't comment. Not cheap. And a pleasure to shop there when I want something a bit special and happy to splash out a bit for premium stuff.

We spent an age in here, chatting to the very friendly and helpful staff.I loved the butchers section the most, not cheap but the quality looked top notch.We had one of their beef Teriyaki's that evening, the stewing steak in it melted in the mouth. Better than a lot of steaks I've had.We finished off our visit with coffee & large wedges of cake in the cafe.The site sits on a hill top with broad open views for miles around.Well worth the 40 mile round trip, we will be back, if only for stocking up for a special occasion.

Had an absolutely wonderful takeaway afternoon tea - my Mum particularly loved the lemon drizzle cake! Really friendly service and more than happy to accommodate a special request. Highly recommend!

Always great produce, wide choice on the meat counter and the tomato sausage is delicious. They have a variety of cheese's in the deli section. The shop is set out well and the staff are very helpful. Will be visiting again soon.

Good selection of quality products. Meats, fruit and vegetables and cheeses are all first class and taste wonderful. Staff are helpful and friendly. Could be cheaper on branded goods. Plenty of parking. Always worth a visit.

We stopped for a late breakfast and ended up with half a boot full of produce from the farm shop! The breakfast sausages are amazing - I will be returning for them at the very least! Well worth a visit for the cafe or the shop, the staff are friendly and there was plenty of parking.

Always a great place for a full english. The view is lovely across the shallow valley and I have never had a bad experience with the wait staff. The shop is also worth your time, full of local produce and happy people!

First visit today and was impressed with the farm shop and customer service in the the cafe. We ordered cake and drinks and it was served very promptly by a very helpful and friendly young man. Beautiful views from the cafe over the countryside with the shire Horses and baby foal so cute will definitely come again as the food looks so nice and fresh in the farm shop.
