Duffield Balti House in Amber Valley

One of my favourite places to get a takeaway. Great guys in the shop and speedy service after ordering, in fact I ordered on-line the last time we visited and 15 minutes later we arrived and our order was ready and waiting for us and exactly whst we had ordered.The choice of different foods is extensive and all excellent quality.

Food was not fresh went in the bin! Shish kebab was reheated in pizza oven….. very traditional Indian cuisine cooked in a pizza oven! Meat was rock hard and tasted disgusting. I don’t think rats would eat it. Very disappointing! Worst kebabs I’ve ever purchased, should be ashamed of even serving customers with that.

RAW CHICKEN!!!! - Hadn't used them for a while despite being only a few hundred yards from our house and now I know why. Called at 5.40pm for a 7pm collection but upon arrival they had not even started the order. They rushed it through in 15 minutes and then when home and tucking into our food we discovered raw chicken (see pic) - I will not be visiting again!!!.

The reviews seemed to be very mixed and I wasn't too sure about trying the Duffield Balti. I'm glad I did. I phoned in my order and collected within twenty minutes. As I arrived, I saw the pizzas coming straight from the oven. They were very tasty and had plentiful cheese and toppings. Wednesday was two for one night, so I saved a lot of money too.

I ordered a delivery of Peri Peri chicken thighs, chips and onion rings. When it arrived the chicken was some sort of wafer thin chicken fillet, the frozen chips were still frozen but lightly browned on the outside and the onion rings were cold rings of grease and were as bendy as rubber. I gave them a ring but they were unable to offer me a replacement meal at that time. No chicken thighs I guess. However, the manager said that next time I should ring the shop and they’d deliver the meal free of charge. Tonight when I phoned to take up his offer the staff were hostile and aggressive. They asked for proof that I had complained and then said they would cook the meal but I would have to come and pick it up as they were too busy to deliver. The man I spoke to was very rude and just spoke over me all the time. They were not too busy to deliver it if I wanted to pay of course. I told them that I no longer wanted the meal as it was supposed to be a goodwill gesture and they were showing precious little goodwill. Then he put the phone down on me. It’s up to you if you order from here but the food is pretty terrible and they don’t honour their promises. Plus they are super rude and aggressive

Takeaway was very poor - inedible saag paneer, very pale limp chips, poor pizza. Phoned to complain; was offered a replacement meal to the same value on another night. Just tried to order and they rescinded on their offer. Used many times over the years, appalling food and rude customer service - Avoid at all costs.

Lovely staff and food, the mixed grill I had was amazing, should have shared it.... but was too nice to share...

It was a lovely takeaway based in Duffield that states "Free Delivery" & we are only in Mackworth.We've ordered from these most weekends for a year or so now & I'm not talking a £10 order when the friends & family are around!But then they started being Picky about when they could deliver!!??They will deliver to you if they can be bothered, Or if your near another customer.We waited nearly 2 hours for our food & still wanted full price....NO!Rang up this weekend & ordered, We got a call back 10 minutes later saying we have to order over £15 for free delivery & there will be a £2.50 charge for delivery!!?? I asked the man on the phone why it has changed & he said "boss man said"... MmmmMost the time they get the order wrong anyway because they don't listen.VERY UNPROFESSIONAL!!!VERY RUDE!!!

Ordered a takeaway this evening, arrived on time, the food was delicious, we had a set meal for two, tikka starter was succulent and tasted amazing full of flavours the main course was just as good and even the onion bajis tasted great, best Indian takeaway I've had around here for a long time. Great value for money too. Thank you!
