Elaichi in Amber Valley

First time visit to this restaurant and must say, really enjoyed both the meal and atmosphere. Food excellent, will definitely be going back.

Booed for 4 of us Saturday night as I was looking for somewhere central to chesterfield and Derby so we could meet friends for a catch up. Upon arrival till leaving the service was amazing and nothing was to much trouble, Our food came pretty quick and the presentation and the smell was great. Now for the taste , absolutely delicious, the curry was so tasty and the mushroom rice was amazing, the waiter even made me a nan bread that wasn’t on the menu, he just said tell me what you want in it and I will make it. Will defiantly be back in the futureThank you for a great night James

Really nice looking takeway but unfortunately a 3.5 hour wait for a small takeaway for 2 people on a Saturday night at 6.30pm meant we had to go somewhere else. Hopefully they expand to a kitchen that can accommodate for a normal amount of Saturday night orders.

Lovely smart premises.Staff very welcoming,very courteous and nothing was too much trouble.Food choice and quality superb with ample portions.Added bonus was when the bill came,very reasonable to say the least.Top Marks.Will definitely be revisiting.

Great service, comfortable and welcoming environment with a great atmosphere. This was my first visit as a birthday treat from my wife, but we enjoyed the food and experience soo much that it definitely won't be the last. A bonus is that children are welcomed and my two girls loved it. All in all this place is great.

Gorgeous, fragrant food. Ate in restaurant last month and loved it, so got takeout tonight and wasn't disappointed. I had lamb vindaloo, companion had king prawn Balti dahi. My lamb was fork tender, the right ratio of sauce to meat and was perfect on pilau rice. The garlic naans were tender, hot and the right amount of flavouring. Everything was packaged well do that it stayed fairly hot on the trip home and just a quick zap to get the plates warm so that the meal stayed hot while we finished. Portions are a good enough size that there will be a lunch or small dinner for both of us tomorrow. When we ate in house last month we had realty excellent, friendly service from the staff. All the dishes were very fresh and the vegetable samosas were the best I've tried. I was too enthusiastic about eating my dinner to get my phone to take photos.

I was really disappointed when we visited this time. The place itself has been refurbished and looked so promising. Eventually we were served and we ordered 2 gin and tonics and were given the dregs of the ice bucket which didn't bode well! After standing at the bar for a good 10 minutes we were shown up to our table. The food, when we eventually got it, was very nice but the lamb tikka was very tough and chewy. We ordered 2 gin and tonics during our meal only to find that they'd run out of ice!When the waiter came to clear the table I commented on the chewy lamb, he told me that the lamb tikka bhuna is always tough but didn't mention it when I ordered as I 'knew what I was ordering'! I wasn't ordering tough, chewy lamb! All in all it was a disappointing visit, not to be repeated!

Without a shadow of a doubt this is the best curry I've ever had. 5 of us ate here and we all said the same. The food was fresh, very well cooked, full of taste and the spices were spot on.

Great food friendly staff meat was so tender, I had mixed kebab and beef madras and I asked for mushrooms and green peppers wasnt a problem, great flavour and very tasty
