Jeera in Amber Valley

Takeaways are a nightmare. Consistently forget items and the quality is inconsistent at best. It became an in joke “hope it’s a good one tonight”. Got to the point where things were forgotten or incorrect on every order. Lost count how many times I’ve had to drive back with an incomplete order or a meat based meal for a vegetarian. Thankfully we discovered Khatmandu in Ripley and haven’t looked back.

The food is really good and not too pricy, unfortunately you will have to buy your rice separate from the actual curry you pick, which in my honest opinion is ridiculous, the jalai curry that was brought is probably the best one they serve, it's made with a sweet mint yogurt and has plenty of flavor, plain boiled rice compliments this dish really well. Pickled onions on top give it that extra crunch. The tandoori chicken was well cooked, on the dry side for my preference. The venue is well laid out and has a very friendly and professional atmosphere. As I didn't eat in I can't comment on the quality of the service. But from the looks of things I would expect a high standard. I would recommend this place for a quiet night. Maybe a romantic dinner.

Went here on saturday, the meal was beyond amazing! Loved the presentation and Atmosphere, the dry ice on the table was lovely. Staff were also lovely, i was particularly impressed by the young girl working there, very attentive, friendly and lovely to chat too… Will 100% be travelling back to Jeera again. 10/10

Delicious food, great service. Lovely surroundings. Hadn't been for a long time, but just as good as we remembered. Hope to go again very soon!
