Expectional within no doubt the best number one chippy in my own of opinion in all of derbyshire catching up with a friend I haven't seen in months we met up here and had the traditional cod chips and mushy peas and a latte, it's been way to long since I have dinner there and couldn't wait because the food is cooked to perfection !!! The batter texture on the fish 🐟 very moreish sucucellant and the fish fresh and fluffy taste everything else on the menu also top notch quality cooked, I got to say I really enjoyed the latte aswell we both had a lovely chilling time in there remembering our nights out and this chippy our last stop before home the Great 👍 staff always welcoming and friendly giving all the best into thier work and delivers with no fault every time and obviously worth the value off payment for the meals everytime, I can't wait to treat myself and catching up with my friend again here, so if any of you heading to scenic places like Belper to visit the river gardens or the Belper mill and the pubs or the best know shops to get great presents 🎁 or varieties of food markets like morrisons iceland and loads more, I recommend calling into this chippy to enjoy a beautiful dinner dining in or to take away !

We waited almost 20 minutes and staff were very unorganised and shouting at each other. After waiting 20minutes and walking home discovered that they had forgotten half our order that we had paid for! 2 stars because the food we got was good but won't be returning as George's traditional is better quality food and much better service

Excellent the large Cod was very large. No skin no bones clean as a whistle. Well cooked. Probably the best Fish and Chips anywhere.
