New Taste House in Amber Valley

Terrible food, first time I've had food from here, threw it away. The fat used to cook my food was rancid. Don't know how long they have been using it. The chips were hard. Fish cake for my grandson was brown inside. Don't know what the hygiene rating is but this place needs investigating by hygiene inspector's. If you work there, how would you not know that you were serving bad food, cooked in old oil. Why would you sell brown fishcakes, when fish is white 🤔

I had food there and couldn’t believe my eyes. The food was food. Absolutely shocking that the food was good. Couldn’t bare to have another mouthful of that beautiful cuisine. Been going here for 14 years and it was awful. So good it made me throw it. Brings a tear to my eyes. Never stepping a foot in that shop again. The people weren’t nice but opened up eventually. Showing their true colours. They had a dog. Would recommend ordering from here.

I havent been here for a few years but it has gone downhill in quality off food, sweet n sour chicken tasted watered down chips not good and the prawn crackers tasted like they were cooked in old oil, shame it has changed owners I shall not be back I am afraid - miss the old owners :(

I have been going to this Chinese for 40 years, I have always had excellent service and great food.

The food is Good the staff very friendly and obliging its a pleasure to go to the New taste House whether you have fish and Chips or Chinese

Food was ok not the best but I was waiting for my delivery for 3 hours and I understand the current situation with the virus. However, we were told 8:30pm (we ordered at 8:00). Then it got to 20:45 and we were told 21:25 then it came to 21:45 and there was no sign of the delivery and we could call the place either. Food finally arrived at 22:00

The food was cold when I got home, I only live max 2 mins around the corner. Due to covid I didn't bother taking it back to complain. But I won't be going there again.

Ok this used to be THE best Chinese around, talking 10 years ago or more though. Really sad it’s gone downhill.Tastes pretty good but first of all: cash only? Really? Secondly: portions are WAY too small.Thirdly: no complementary prawn crackers, oh no you didn’t!Prob won’t go here again.

I've been going here for years and never had a bad meal yet, but recently when my wife got a takeaway and had a meal for herself and when she got home her meal was nothing like what she'd ordered so as we live a couple of miles away i suggested taking a photo of it and when we next go to explain with the help from the photo what they'd done, but when she went back all she got was a lot of shouting and told she got what she ordered and thats that! Not the best customer service!!! Some training required i think! You keep this attitude up and you will be loosing more customers other than us! Pathetic!

The fact that everyone is polite and extremely knowledgeable about the food they cook. If you want something special they will try their hardest to make it for you. Hot n sour soup is what we like when feeling ill. It's not on their menu but if you ask nicely they will cook it for you. Well done everyone.
