Ripley's Fish and Chips in Amber Valley

We have a takeaway from Ripley’s every week - it’s quite simply the best chip shop in the area.

Good food unfortunately out of the 6 times I've been here twice I have returned home to find the order wrong. How hard is it to listen to a customer then replicate that request into a physical order?. Yes I know you'll reply with I should come back and you would correct the issue but after a day at work all I want to do is collect my food and go home. Can't recommend and can't use again. Really annoying.

Ordered food from here the other night, I sometimes get confused on which is the softer fish the cod or haddock, excellent service, food was lovely, lady that served me Chaylee, great customer service, would definitely recommend

Lovely food, cooked to absolute perfection. Warm, friendly staff, very clean. Our fish and chips were gorgeous. Great 80's music to!

Still a bit slow and that's just to place an order.But great chips and do Gluten Free which we need.

As a builder in the local area as you can imagine I’ve tried most of the fish and chip shops around the Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire area’s being in the trade for 35 years .ripleys fish n chip shop if a jewel in Derbyshire absolutely outstanding every time me and my fiancé return weekly

We were visiting Ripley and looking for gluten free takeaways. Our fish and chips were simply delicious. Would definitely recommend.

Hostile communication from all staff members, both upon ordering and upon question about wether the buisness has changed hands. Almost no mayonnaise for the chicken burger, no apology just told i could have garli mayo and no sachets to purchase . No lettuce when I got home even though I asked. Smaller portions of chips than normal. Almost given chips with no salt and vinegar even after i asked. Normally its Amazing. Tonight the opposite.

Used to love a Ripley's chippy but seems to have gone down hill recently, the chips never seem to be cooked enough, and I feel that over 6 pounds for this double chicken burger without chips is abit of a rip off

Had a really nice Cod and Chips here. Fish was flakey Nd white, with the batter light and crispy. Not dripping with fat as I've had elsewhere.They also do gluten free on certain days, which also looked really good.Come here and enjoy great fish and chips!
