River Garden Restaurant in Amber Valley

Simply the best food. It takes us nearly an hour to get here, but well worth it. Great staff and always looked after. We've been coming here for years.

Food was good as always, but as they were quite busy it did take a long time between ordering and serving each course. Sometimes half of us had food whilst half waited which is not good as we were not given the usual plate warmers to keep food warm today.

A group of us ate here last night and we all enjoyed every plate that was presented. All food was excellent, served fresh hot and in good time. I would highly recommended this restaurant.

I've been here a few times, and I love it. The food is great, reasonably priced and the staff are so lovely. The all you can eat is fantastic.

First visit in a long time, good quality food. Service was OK, ladies for gin and tonic came in beer glass no ice or lemon?

Been today for the first time as a group of 9. Was really impressed, fantastic all you can eat food freshly prepared for you rather than having prepared stuff like most places that never really taste that great. The only downside I could think is that if there was only a couple of you, you would probably not be able to try so many things (unless the portions are smaller for smaller bookings). It was empty when we went in and it deserves to be fully booked, so support it and keep it going. Fantastic and will be back

First time there was highly recommended. We arrived at 8pm didn't get our starter until 9pm that was after we reminded the waiter. Very poor service a half hearted apologie, won't be going back .

I was tempted to put 4 stars, but after much consideration it could definitely do with improvement. The staff were friendly and professional but lack a dress code, the actual all you can eat is actually all you can eat, it's not like a world buffet, more like pick a few small dishes and your done, the decor is definitely stuck in the 90's and it's actually cramped. I have been here twice now and haven't been impressed both times I have been, don't get me wrong the food isn't half bad and because its in such small quantities it's good to try one of everything, also please note seafood and duck is an optional extra charge.

Great service. Sensible sized portions on Al you can eat menu so you can try loads of dishes. Food was impeccable

Also delightful to visit this restaurant. Food is excellent, service good, staff friendly and you aren't rushed with your meal.
