Rose & Crown in Amber Valley

My experience was limited to sitting outside with a drink on a hot day. It is perfect for that! Great central village location.

Really friendly staff , great location nice cider although we did not eat here this time other people's food looked really nice we will return and try out the food

Had a superb family celebration and dinner at the Rise and Crown Romaldkirk.Excellent food and nothing was a problem to the helpful snd friendly staff.

The food is exceptional best mushrooms ever! Three fantastic evening meals. Again! Even as a non resident but a frequent visitor the staff are great the bar choice brilliant but the food quality keeps us returning as often as we can! Super yummy!!!

We've stayed here before and once again all was first class. The menu was quite varied and the quality of the food was really good. The room (a bungalow) was spacious with a large shower room and a walk in wardrobe. Really quiet, pretty village location and another pub if you want a change of scene within walking distance. There are often some interesting cars around for those who like that kind of thing, an Aston Martin DBS, a rather special Morgan and a 1930 Bentley Straight 8, a magnificent thing for instance when we were there.

Food and service here was excellent. We ate here in the evening and the staff were attentive and friendly.Main negative was the room which had a cupboard for a bathroom and no window. Overpriced for such a room!

Did not stay here just had dinner in the restaraunt. A slight hic cup over the food order was quickly corrected. Well worth a visit for good service, food and selection of drinks. Easy to find and easy parking.

Up in the area visiting daughter and husband and usually eat at Headlam Hall. This pub restaurant is owned I believe by the same people, so thought to try here for a change. Good menu choice with specials available as well. Lovely service and the food was really good...three courses and no disappointments with any. Good wine choice but would have preferred greater beer choice, only Black Sheep and Wainwrights on tap, but no hardship. Will come again

Very good food and beer. Lovely beautifully kept hotel. Excellent location for walking in Teesdale. Rather expensive so not 5 stars.

We stayed for the night with our dog as a weekend break for my birthday. The staff were the very professional and so friendly; it made us feel so at ease. Also, the staff have a genuine love of dogs which means all three of us had a great time.In terms of eating, the food is incredible and the menu was excellent.Finally, the surrounding area is really beautiful and there are any number of walks ranging from beautiful river-side paths with waterfalls to fell-top adventures with stunning views.Thanks for a great weekend!
