The chips were not very warm and had gone hard. They had clearly been standing for a while. You could tell from their appearance that they weren't fresh, so I have no idea why they would sell them! The fish was freshly cooked, however that was the only good thing about our meal, as that was also dry.We were offered free chips on our next visit. No mention about the fish.Unfortunately this has happened before. We won't be returning.

Hard, cold chips. Curry sauce was thick and had a film over it like it had been sat for ages. Was giving this place a second chance as first experience wasn’t great.. won’t be back, waste of money. Inedible.

When I arrived in the take away side at around 4.05 pm there were no other customers. We had already rang to try and book a table and we're told there was nothing available ( it was Father's day )Another customer arrived after a couple of minutes in the restaurant side asking for a table and was told she could have one outside. I was pretty cheesed off after being told an hour earlier nothing was available all evening. By this time I had already ordered 2 large cod and chips which came to £22. An ordered was placed on the counter about 10 minutes later which I assumed would mine seeing as I was the only customer but no, this was for the lady who came in after me and was sat at a table. I then had to wait a further 10 minutes. In total I waited 25 minutes. When I arrived home the fish was tasty but very thin about 4mm thick. The chips however were awful, they were chewy and tasted like oven chips. Fish and chips is what I told my son I would like When I got home from work ( I work Sundays ) he left £25 in a Father's day card which said fish and chips on me Dad happy Father's day. How disappointing, I will not go to Seafood Restaurant again.

at 62 years old I can honestly say I've just has the BEST fish and chips I can remember. My first visit to seafish and the food was superb, the service was superfast and very friendly and the price, for a quality and comfortable restaurant was under what I expected. Can't wait to go back, good job I don't live nearer.

Great menu choices of seafood but other options are available. Lovely clean restaurant and facilities. Great choice of tasty coffee and desserts. Sticky toffee pudding was delicious. The service was a little slow but this was due to a staff member being off sick. Would recommend a visit.

We Really can’t recommend this place!! we called in on Sunday evening 03-03-22, the chips we like they had been re-heated and everything tasted of the oil they were fried in and worst of all it was very expensive. They might need to change the oil that the food is fried in.

Have been here numerous times, eating in has been brilliant, food great and the staff pleasant, however I have been to the takeaway 3 times now, and the staff have been miserable, rude and asking for anything is an inconvenience for them. The food wasn't even worth it as it was overpriced and at least 2 people got their orders that had come after me despite being virtually the same orders, would recommend eating in but don't bother with the takeaway.

Went in for take away, asked if i could have the curry sauce in a pot rather than on the chips the lady replied no because its a special and requires to be put on the chips! Unbelievable! I then explained i dont like my chips soggy, she did eventually put the sauce in a pot (rocket science)

Update below original comment.Very clean, bright and airy restaurant. Friendly staff, though not enough of them. The service was the only thing to let this visit down.We were seated immediately, our drinks order wasn't submitted, until another member of staff came to check on us. The main course was lovely, nicely cooked and presented, tasted good. Quality and Quantity fantastic. We ordered chicken breast and the cheese fry triangles (Can't remember the name). We waited awhile for the waitress to come over after our main, she didn't return with the desert menu. I didn't want to shout across the room for attention, after a good few mins the guy who took the first drinks order came over to check on us, he then brought the menu. The waitress then came over to take our order.Pudding was tasty again Quality and Quantity were great. We had to wait awhile to get someone's attention to ask for the bill. Then had to wait awhile to get them to bring it, so much so I put my coat on ready to go. That got his attention and he brought the bill over.I didn't wait for them to come back for payment, I went to the bar to pay.Food Great, I would give 5 stars for that. But they need to get more staff in and try to keep them. Reviews I have read since having eaten there haven't been good and these date back to last year 2017. So there's obviously a problem in retaining staff, which is a pity. It is a nice restaurant.Update of my last review. Again great food. This time better service and more staff, I really do like coming here. Good sized portions and tasty. Staff are very helpful with customers queries about the menu.
