The venue is ideally placed with a very nice garden. However, the current owners appear to have taken their eye off the ball. The lager was off and the Chilean rose wine tasted like red wine vinegar, was unchilled and served in an over sized glass. What a shame we were regulars but no more.

Lovely decor and atmosphere. Good choice on the menu. The food was a great standard. Only comment would be that the brownie was more like a chocolate cake (a bit bland) than a brownie but this place is still overall worthy of 5 stars!

Welcoming staff. Breakfast was fantastic - great choice from full English to fruit and yoghurts. Accommodation clean and well looked after. Would stay again.

We came for Saturday brunch. The food was excellent, the portions small enough that we could both manage 3 courses. The service was excellent.

Arrived one hour earlier than our booking, greeted warmly and all staff very welcoming. Food was delicious with quality ingredients. Would highly recommend and can’t wait to return 😊

absolute pleasure to stay and eat here, room was cosy and clean, easy to find and great location. The room and breakfast was great! The service throughout was amazing, the lady manager was very attentive and made it a personable experience.

Ended up just having a drink as the kit hen was closed but still enjoyed it. Decor is lovely and there is parking which is a huge bonus. Will definitely go back.

Loved this place, cosy, great food, great staff, the whole experience us nestled in a quiet spot too. If you're near by you have to go for food and drink! Food was so good I didn't get a chance to take a photo, literally just inhaled it!

Very disappointing experience!Me and my partner both ordered the rib-eye steak and asked for medium rare. The steaks arrived and both were very over cooked and the steak was so dry and chewy that after only 2 bites I decided my jaw wouldn't survive another bite. Even though we both had left more than 3/4s of our food on the plate and stopped eating, it took more than 15 minutes before our server asked us was everything OK, which I politely explained that the steak was overcooked. Her reply "oh I'm sorry." . She just walked off without even offering to change it.Normally I would've complained at this point but as my partner was already upset we decided to just leave the food and pay our bill on the way out.

Friday cake morning. Between 9.30am and 10.30am every Friday you get cake and coffee of your choice for free!!! But you need to put a charity donation into the jar on the bar. It's a really nice idea for anyone on any budget. The log fire was burning and it was busy with a lovely atmosphere. All tables are safely sanitised after every use and there is hand gel at the door. I really enjoyed it. I'm still fairly nervous about going anywhere busy because I've got lung disease but I felt like they were doing everything possible to keep patrons and staff safe. The staff were extremely welcoming. I'm definitely going back.
