Hidden gem. Booking required. Cash or bank transfer for payment. Excellent prices. Quality steak and sides, steaks are bit too salty.

Our first time there, at a wedding reception. Awesome night, The hosts Tony and Sue where top class, and the food too. Will be returning for a meal. Highly recommend.

Great food, lovely place - just mind the potholes on the drive!

Five stars is nowhere near enough for this place. We had a 16oz T-Bone steak which was cooked to perfection. If you have any room after that you need to try the Shottle Mess😋Absolutely fantastic place with really friendly staff. It is well worth the trip and we will definitely be doing so again.Steve and Sue

I'd been wanting to visit this place for a long time and finally got the opportunity when a friend booked it for their birthday. The place itself is nice and cosy but unfortunately I found the food to be average at best. For starters we shared some garlic bread which was fairly decent however the rib eye steak i ordered for my main was quite possibly the worst steak I have ever had, especially considering the price. The cut of meat was poor, it was over cooked and massively over salted. I think this is the first time ever I have not finished a steak. I made known my thoughts to the waitress/owner and was offered an apology but no replacement or discount was offered. The pizzas looked fairly decent but I don't think I'd ever go back to sample them.

We went in July and had the Rump steak, so tasty and tender, we even managed pudding but we was stuffed afterwards :) The real ale brewed there was too moreish:) very friendly and definitely an enjoyable experience, will definitely go back!!

Fine dining it's not (thank goodness). Great food, beer, atmosphere and staff. Reminded me of a rustic, family run restaurant in France; done with a passion, Great.

What an experience, well worth the drive down the farm track. The beer on hand pull was an excellent drink brewed on the farm, due to driving didn't get chance to sample the others, next time. We had steaks and pie of the day, steak and mushroom, both were cooked to perfection and the gravy was to die for. We all managed a pudding and it was proper rib sticking, lovely. It was our first visit but definitely not our last.

The pizzas were tasty, nice crispy polenta covered base, maybe a bit too much tomato puree, but overall a very good pizza. The chips were amazing! The beer, brewed at the same location, was crisp and refreshing. I could easily have had a few pints if I wasn't driving! However, the relaxed, informal dining wasn't for us, the atmosphere was more like a working mens club than a restaurant.
