Food is absolutely excellent, brilliant portion sizes (especially the Sunday lunch which is out of this world). A great variety of drinks as well as brilliant staff and a very clean place. Highly recommend! We had a small and a regular roast, incredible as always.

We went to The Yew Tree for sun lunch. It was Absolutely beautiful. The Yorkshire puddings were to die for. The portions were Very large x

Probably the nicest most genuine people you could wish to meet, really great food , the beer is exactly what you can find in most pubs ,but let's be honest not everyone goes out just for a beer, a real public house ,highly recommended

Friendly barman/landlord .... good honest cheap food . Sandwhich with almost as much meat as bread and big crunchy freshly made chips, Thick delious soup. Shame we only went in for a light lunch as would have enjoyed sampling some of the ales on offer. And even stayed for hearty dinner given the opportunity.

Had a nice Sunday lunch here and the staff were some of the loveliest I've ever encountered. Very attentive. A really good value for money lunch. Nice to find a country pub without the gastro pub prices. Would definitely come back

We were staying at Wessington and went for a circular walk, found old yew tree inn on route, 1st sign outside pub was dog welcome. Entrance was to a warm friendly welcome from the landlord and a real coal fire burning. Lager and cider was very nice. The pub has a warm friendly homely atmosphere with original historical features. Immaculately clean. Toilets spotless . After our 2nd pint we decide to order some food. Homemade chips! Wow best chips in Derbyshire. Home cooked food all fresh and local produce. Can't express how welcoming and what lovely people the landlord and landady are. We had a lovely afternoon there. Would highly recommend to any1. And prices are more than reasonable for drink and food. Thank you sue and Chris for a lovely afternoon. And give the young coal man a pat on back for his hard work and politeness. We will be back. As Arnie said.

Choice of 3 meats in 3 sizes (S, M & L), reasonably priced.Beer was Bass, not had this for years - and was delicious pint.Pub was very dog friendly - thanks for a fab time. xxx
