Great fruit scones and tea,very nice probably the best scones in the town and the service is really good

Reasonable choice of food, cakes etc. Good coffee and the staff are courteous and the service reasonably quick.

What a gem of a place made so much better because we could bring our dog in. The cream scones were delicious and one of the best coffee’s going, we also bought some quiche to take out to have later for tea and once again it was delicious. Also, the ladies were so friendly, our only regret is that we were only passing through and might not be back again. Highly recommended.

This is my go to place in Belper . I am coeliac and there is both savoury and sweet gluten free food . Not the packaged Mrs Crimble macaroons that most places would give you but cheese scones , jam scones with lovely jam and some really nice cakes . The lady behind the counter is lovely and remembers you when you come back. Always a pleasure to go there

Wanted cake and coffee the slice was large for the price. Good coffee and polite staff. A group arrived while we were there and they had 2 dogs. Even the dogs were given water and a dog treat 🐕😊

Lovely sandwiches made with excellent ingredients; and generously filled. Very nice locally made chutneys are also available to buy.A cosy and old fashioned environment served by a selection of mature ladies who have a lovely way with customers.

Today we visited for breakfast. Staff were friendly but service very slow. Coffees were lovely breakfast however was not so good. My eggs Benedict was virtually cold...eggs overcooked and muffin dry and inedible. I left it all. The bacon sandwich was again nearly cold and very dry. We left our food. When asked about our meal we said it wasn't very nice and had left it. Informed the chef would be told. Still paid top price for very substandard food. Very disappointed would never go again.

We always go for a cuppa and a cake when we visit Belper. Today my parents and my 2 children sat in the lovely sunny garden and had lunch. Our orders came out quickly and were lovely, especially the lemon drizzle cake. The lady also bought out pens and colouring books for my daughter, nice to have a cuppa in peace! It's also hard to find places where I can nurse my baby, this was no problem in the little secluded garden, a perfect suntrap on a nice day. Also worth a mention are the delicious chocolate brownies which I took away as a treat for my children who missed out on the visit due to school, wish I had bought more, it was gone in seconds! Thanks.
