We had a delicious birthday lunch. The menu was varied with plenty of choice for vegetarians. The food was really tasty, and the staff made us very welcome. The pub is in a lovely part of Derbyshire and the pictures of old trains over the bar made one member of our party very happy!

Met friends for lunch, my dog was brought a bowl of water and some biscuits. The food was delicious and the service very friendly. A couple of items were slow to come out or unavailable but overall thoroughly enjoyed.

Great service and beautiful food! Had the calamari starter and it was the most I've ever had. The soup was delicious and my friends thoroughly enjoyed their meals too, definitely recommend

Crikey,I was unsure about this as the venue for a little Birthday Dinner..Some BAD comments on the internet..I can Confirm,They are completely happy to accommodate alterations to the menu.. - which Is interesting and different - I will probably trust the slightly "different" dishes next time.Big Improvements to the interior - it used to be good but maybe the system didn't quite work there (?) -Staff ? Really professional but also friendly and interesting!Chips? Regular Chips... stayed edible even when they cooled down..The Sweet Potato Fries? I normally am not a fan but I tried someone elses... perfect fries! (not sure why they are an extra quid though?)It has been a while since I was so Pleasantly surprised by Food, Service and Decor... (wobbly chairs... no big deal) really Really impressed..!

Idyllic country pub. Beautifully decorated for Christmas, spacious but still cosy feeling. Super clean and comfortable. Staff so friendly, great fast service but the stand out was the quality of the food. My husband had a belly pork dish that was generous and had him asking who the butcher was. I have a few allergies and had a lovely steak with lots of sides and total confidence in the food. Child friendly. Absolutely no complaints 👌🏻

Called in for Sunday lunch, staff were friendly and helpful, waiting times were acceptable, food standards were great, vegetables were nice and fresh. Would definitely recommend.

Booked a table for Sunday lunch yesterday after not visiting the railway for a number of years due to poor service, awful food and cleanliness issues. We read the review posted by sticky beak and thought we should give the new people ago. Everything was opposite to what I experienced those years ago. The staff are lovely and very accommodating. The place is spotlessly clean even on a busy day. The food amazing - I have to disagree with sticky beak on one point - the Sunday lunch is the best I have ever tasted.I will be back.

The staff were great, great food and a very good place to meet up with a group of friends or even club members. Definitely would recommend.
