Staff were friendly and helpful. Needed downstairs toilet for 93 year old mum, it was unlocked for her use, it was clean but really could do with upgrading. Upstairs toilet area is lovely, very spacious and pleasant. We had fish, chips and peas. Fresh, hot and very nice. Generally, a typical Weatherspoons, good value for money, decent food, tables, chairs, carpets, a bit sticky in places.

Firstly I like Wetherspoons, but today's experience was poor. We ordered food and drinks, the pub was very quiet, so why 20 minutes for drinks and over half an hour for food? The food came and was wrong it went back and came without coleslaw, when I asked they said they had none, no offer of something else or even an apology. You guys need to up your game, if it was not for good prices I would score it one star. Sorry Wetherspoons I know that you can do better

Typical Wetherspoons. Reliable food. Nice atmosphere for eating or just having a drink.Nice outdoor area too if we ever get a sunny day.

My first time going to a wetherspoons in the Derbyshire area; front exterior looks inviting, and upon entering it you quickly see the bar hosting a plethora of different alcohols. The red lion has got a massive exterior seating area for when it's hot or if you wish to smoke and there is a second lower level of even more seating outside. The service I experienced was efficient when ordered at the bar but when ordering drinks and food via the app the service became slow and inefficient. If you're in the area and wish to have a cheap drink outside its not a bad place to go aslong as you're happy remembering that wetherspoons serves the cheapest of drinks.

Ordered meal, arrived without sides which was included so had to ask, fried egg also hard not runny at all, table disgusting too wasn’t the servers fault she was lovely but pub was busy and then drinks was mixed up with size.

5th march 2022. To be fair 1 star is too much. Too slow at bar. 1 hour after ordering on app for appalling breakfast I had to ask them where it was. Very dry bread no brown sauce limp warmish bacon. Needless to say a complaint will be sent to your team directly. Rude staff member thin female brownish hair.

Lovely food served 19 Feb 22.. Sometimes a little hit and miss though always OK. Today the foodcwascrestaraunt quality.. The chef must have been new. The wait was well worth it. My steak was perfect. Staff at red lion ripley are friendly and always helpful regardless of being so busy.

Unusual for me not to like a Wetherspoons. Food tepid / barely warm. Waitress disinterested, no advise on where to find condiments etc, no serviettes with knives and folks (one knife needed a clean). Disappointing.

·

Friendly staff. App kept crashing as usual. Nice environment with framed prints of Ripley’s history. Beverage and food good value but parking difficult

·

Nice well run Wetherspoons pub placed in the centre of the town. Clean and spacious, with enough room to find a comfortable corner. Good priced drinks and food. Outdoor drinking area. Enjoyed my visit here.
