Popped him for some lunch after having been to the pub previously for some drinks. It's really done up nice and a very good range on the menu. Table service was quick and the food was delicious. The side of onion rings were massive! Well worth the money and I think very good value for money.Only criticism is the restaurant had loads of spaces and halfway through our meal another couple were sat right next to us. Literally 2-3 foot away and it took away the privacy. I could understand if it was busy but it wasn't.Anyway it didn't take the fact away that the food was lovely!

We went for lunch and the pub had a lovely open fire on a cold and rainy day. Lovely atmosphere and smell of wood smoke. Food was very good, I had a very tasty vegan burger. Service also very good. Can't fault the place!

OMG We have driven past this pub hundreds of times and never been here, but after a walk we came in today for an evening meal. The food was beautiful, the staff were attentive, the Truffle Hog pizza was delicious as were the desserts. All this in a beautiful old pub. My only criticism was was the nasty, cheap mayonnaise. I'll be bringing my own next time.

Sadly after my last 5 star review, I booked a week in advance to treat my visiting chum from London to White Hart hospitality. We were offered a table by the bar and door, crowded with happy Friday night chaps enjoying an almost certainly well deserved pint where we would have been staring at their bottoms and unable to hear each other to catch up. As older ladies, a sight no longer holding any charm. The restaurant was quiet and apparently unable to offer a civilised spot. We sadly left and picked up a Domino's on the way home to PJs and Prosecco. My disappointment in hitherto exemplary experience lingers. I won't bother next time as I can't trust the welcome or customer care

Lovely food. I have scored one less star for slow service. We've spent 2 hours at the restaurant and we had ordered a main course only. I wanted to order a dessert as well but as I was waiting for nearly 30 mins to be able to order it, I gave up and asked for the bill instead

Lovely meal in a relaxed setting. Really enjoyed a meal here with friends last night. Full at 5.30pm which shows how popular it is however despite being very busy staff were welcoming, friendly and offered great service. We really enjoyed all the courses and were given more than the £10 per head government discount. A great evening. Will definitely be back.

A regular customer, I have always received great service and the food I have had has always been excellent. Rarely any issues or mistakes made and a good atmosphere.

Very nice pub which we used today as part of our rambling group. The car park is small so we asked in advance if it was ok for us to park. The food and drink was excellent but again they needed to know in advance what our order was as we were a large party. The staff where very friendly and the atmosphere and decor was great, clean and tidy. Toilets for men and women are at opposite ends of the pub so be aware. The food and drinks where fine but I did feel they where a tad expensive
