1958 Coffee in Ashfield

Absolutely love it here... not only is the food brilliant, the staff are all so friendly.If you have not been before, you will not be disappointed.If you have, see you there next time!

We decided to leave M1 to avoid service stations. What a great find, excellent food and friendly staff. Full English breakfast we had today was first class. So much nicer than the bland expensive services. Will always use on our journey from London to Newcastle.

Perfect eggs Benedict here. Great staff and a very good coffee.

Really close to the motorway- 1000% better than any service station. Cracking sandwiches with lovely fresh bread. The roast chicken was lovely- really succulent. Coffee very nice and service very good. No specific baby change space, but the loo is a good size and perfectly clean so no probs there if you you do have a rugrat!Cheers- see you next time!

Smart coffee shop selling good choice of breakfasts, snacks and cakes etc. Delicious latte, one of the best I've had, and great sausage roll and flapjack. Lovely walking area, particularly down to Lower Bagthorpe..... so enjoy 1958 on way there or on way back, as long as it before 2pm. Almost forgot to mention the friendly conscientious staff and covered Garden area to the side.

Went to this place a couple of times this week. I placed the order by phone both times and the food was ready when I got there. I was greeted at the door by a very friendly lady who was very welcoming. Both days the food was amazing and at a very fair price. I would highly recommend to anybody who is in the area to stop by and give it a try. I also managed to pick up a gluten free cake for a family member who finds it hard to find a nice cake and they gave it a 10/10. I will definitely be back next time I’m in the area!! Thanks

Great little cafe. Good quality food. Staff are very friendly. Chloe was very efficient & professional. Nice relaxing atmosphere . Highly recommend you try this lovely place.

I do like the food here, it is a charming little place, but.. The staff are not the most welcoming people, no smiles, no conversation, frankly a bit odd in a customer driven environment.

Been here and the old premises a few doors down several times. Food and service here is outstanding, prices are very reasonable for this high quality local sourced produce. Bacon nice and thick, sausages are to die for and the egg was cooked to perfection as you can see in my photo. Not sure why a couple of people have rated them so low, weird.Keep it up ladies, I can't fault anything here one bit.
