Jolly Fryer in Ashfield

Been a while since I have eaten from Jolly Fryer, used to go during my lunch break, and the food was absolutely amazing. Since then the Jolly fryer has been done up, I ordered tonight and the food was exceptional, your always made to feel welcome and the staff are so polite and cant help you enough, thank you for another exceptional meal i will certainly be ordering again.

Lovely food and plenty of it. Their "whale and chips" is a real feast of a box (not a real whale of course, it just seems to be the size of one). Highly recommended if you're in the area.

Good food , terrible delivery service. Was told 70 minutes when ordered, 70 minutes later no food so I rang to be told they were preparing my food next, no apology or reason. I asked if they could throw something in as a ‘sorry for the wait’ sweetener and they did….. a free can of pop!!!! 1 hour 45 minutes after I ordered the food arrived.

Theo and the team are very pleasant and welcoming. The gluten free menu is excellent with loads of choice! The best in the East Midlands! I personally recommend the gf fish bites and curry sauce 😊

Food was ok but not upto normal standard orded the food at 8.12pm and then it arrived at 9.25pm so over an hour I waited...Asked for extra cheese and got a little sprinkle not worth paying extra for my kebab meat was luke warm. I'm quite regular to this shop and tonight has really put a downer on it for me due to the delivery time... and food quality.. I rang the shop and didn't get an apology for it being an hour late. Asked for salt and vinger on the chips and didn't get any. Little detals make a big difference. When you spend £19.00 for two meals tou expect good quality. But tonight was not worth the money I paid.

As someone who has to eat gluten free I was so happy to find this place! Ordered online and delivery was at the set time!The food was amazing (the gluten free and "normal").Really glad to have found this place and will definitely be ordering again!

Oh wow wow and more wow. I’m so so happy I’ve found a Jolly Fryer Fish and Chips and best of all they do Gluten Free Fish And Chips and it’s absolutely delicious and oh my gosh I’m very very happy. Now I won’t feel left out when my partner is having his fish and chips. Oh I met the Jolly Fryer and he’s very handsome 🤫 shh. Can I also say big thank you to the lovely staff, I felt so special from the minute I telephone to order our meals. Well done and keep up the fantastic service. I/we will be your forever customer. I had gluten free fish and chips, curry sauce and a cheeky battered sausage. I was so amazed at how tasty it was. I felt safe knowing my food was handled well. Will be back again
