Tara Indian Restaurant in Ashfield

Food is very good but the service is the worst I’ve ever come across. If you want food for 7pm you need to order about midday. Such a shame as this restaurant has great potential, I’ve been a customer for years but I think I’ve reached the end of the line😩😩

Just ordered a meal after they have re-opened, Because we used to like their food.....What a load of RUBBISH. Have you changed your Chef? If so, Get the old one back!!!! The lime pickle was inedible, It had like stones in it.... The Chicken Kahari used to be really tasty, Now it just burns your throat. The wife's chicken masala was cold and rubbery. And the Chapatis were like cardboard..... Get your act together guys, or I'll be going elsewhere.... 1 more chance next weekend.

None delivery for 2.5hrs so I called up. They had misplaced our order but found on computer and said "We be there 20 mins".30 mins later food arrived cold and wrong items.Foodhub policy says call the takeaway for wrong delivery / refund so i did.Rude man on phone says acknowledges sent wrong item but "will not give refund... you get from foodhub" I send right food.."No" I said "That's going to be over 4hrs now... I want refund for items I've ordered and you have not delivered".Guy shouts "NO!.. From foodhub" and puts phone down.So no refund or way to raise complaint on FOODHUB. (robotic chat function loops back to "contact takeaway direct".)Shop never did bring the correct food and refuses to discuss refund.I Will not be coming back here I am afraid.Future customers should be prepared for cold food and wrong orders without refund.

Well the food is pretty good but the service this some what lacking. Been waiting 3 and half hours now for our order.

Ordered online and it said delivery in 55 minutes. Phoned after 1 hour 20, told food was on the way. 2 hours 45minutes after another call and the food arrives. It is now in the oven as it is stone cold. Will not be ordering again

The most rude place I have ever tried to order from . I called to place an order at Tara's unfortunately I didn't know the ingredients in one of the portions wanted to order. As I was asking what was in it ,I was told I'm wasting his time , and he dropped the phone on me straight away. Since the shop was on my way home ,I passed by ,but I felt the patronising never stopped from the short guy who was taking orders. I was again told he didn't have time to listen to my request because he was busy. Will never go back again to Tara's, can't wait for the guys next door to open.

Rang earlier to place order for collection, asked for my starter, then next item, person on phone said something but was unsure what they asked so double checked what I'd already asked for, to be spoken to in a very abrupt manner and told "listen to me madam". I apologised even though i wasnt in the wrong. Appreciate they are busy but I hung up, i didnt feel i needed to be spoken to in that way, they then rang back for my order,. I explained why I hung up and didn't even get an apology from them to continue my order, they hung up! Shocked at rudeness.

I ordered an Indian for two at 18:10 and was told it would be an hour, so at 19:30 I rang to ask were it was, “it’s been sent - it’s on it’s way” so I waited till 19:50 and still no Indian! I rang again and they discounted by £6 but when it finally came at20:35 it was freezing cold and they had to send the delivery driver back with a full discount!!! Will never use them again! I normally love there food but never again!!!!
