Went for the all you can eat breakfast, and as usual it was top notch, never had an issue with food or drinks here, and the staff are always polite, would recommend to anyone.

We had to wait a while for my sons burger to come even though it wasn't that busy . Waited over 30 mins. No explanation as to why or apology. The tables around us still had plates and stuff on so looked messy. The roast dinners were lovely nicely cooked the guy carving the meat was very polite and friendly. My dessert i. e ice cream sundae took over 30 mins to come again with no apology or explanation as to why. but was delicious .

We've been for dinner several times and the carvery is pretty good. We like going for breakfast as it's all you can eat so perfect for those with a larger appetite. They even do breakfast pizza

Came here on a very quiet Saturday afternoon with 8 family members, all adults except for my 2 week old Grandson. Plenty of room for a pram next to our long table (even if it had been busy). We all chose from the lovely laid out carvery either large or standard size meat portions. Little difference on price but excellent value for money either way. Plenty of choice of veggies, gravy and sauces was also available. We all enjoyed our meals, too full for desserts but were tempted. Service was friendly and efficient and we would all definitely come again. Highly recommended.

Always loved it here. The butternut and chickpea burger is great and always arrives hot and fresh. It’s my parents’ favourite place for a carvery too.Unfortunately the last time we went they were only serving carvery so I was unable to have a burger but completely understand the situation regarding staffing levels. Some people are so quick to negatively judge and not be empathetic when staff are put in difficult situations and doing their best to satisfy everyone.I just wanted to let you know you all do a great job and can’t wait to return soon to try your Beyond Burger 😋

Just happened to drive by. We were hungry. So we pulled in and grabbed a late lunch. My son and I had a chicken burger and my wife had the carvery. We enjoyed our meals and the staff in there were polite and helpful. Good value food. They do have different daily offers and plenty to choose from in the menu.

Today I was disappointed with the Chicken and Bacon Ranch salad although it was good the last time I came. There was only a little lettuce at the bottom of the dish but a surfeit of sweet corn. The bacon was so overcooked it was barely edible and there were no garlic dough sticks with it. My husband had a meat feast calzone which was okay and the only reason I've given 3 stars instead of 2.

This place has changed a lot since I used to come here with my family at Christmas as a child. I love the carvery, but I generally go for the fish and chips. Between the menu and carvery there's a great offer here. Make sure you come out and visit the Woodend. Thumbs up.

Not visited in a while. Thought I’d take my daughter and give it a go. Food was very standard. The burgers could have had more attention to detail, actual salad/relish (not just a leaf of iceberg lettuce), flame grilled burger (just seemed defrosted and boiled up). Charlie Chalk for kids, ball pond, Saga Mega drive pay as you go suit and L shaped pool table. All gone... Playground outside needs a lot more TLC. It was, however, warm inside the building.

I ordered a burger and I have to say its up there with the worst I've ever eaten! My daughter ordered a pizza average at best, my partner had carvery again average. Only good thing was the pint of beer. This is the 2nd time we have tried this place as I have a gift card to use from work. Wont be going again that's for certain. Very disappointing food even considering its cheap pub food.
