Spent some family time at the Angel Inn. We ate and drank. Lovely food. Lovely authentic surroundings. Staff really attentive. Children's play area superb. The Angel Inn is a fabulous place to go. Eat, drink and enjoy. Suitable for everyone. Support your local pubs and restaurants. Enough said!!!

This is quite local for me. I go once a month and l have fantastic meals. There is a good menu and they have an excellent chef specials board. Don't know about the rooms as l have never stayed there. Always seems very popular so you would have to book.

Not been for a number of years been living in France. It was great to see the place running smoothly and really enjoyed our meal and drinks and lovely service. It was great to see this family business thriving and I would say improved in the hands of the next generation :-) well done all :-)

We visited this inn as we were in the area and what a great find. We arrived for lunch and from the start it was lovely. Firstly a great car park accessed through an archway, then entering a real cosy bar, we were met by the amenable host who took us to our table and quickly took our drinks order, the menu choices were many but we both chose the fish and chips and they even catered for my choice of baked beans rather than peas. Dessert was delicious and the portion sizes were really good. Overall a fantastic visit and definitely a place to return to if we are ever in the area again.

Excellent stop for lunch just off the A1 in Blythe. Welcoming staff and comfy old Inn. We chose a sharing seafood platter (£12.95) which included 3 dips, garlic bread and wedges. It was really delicious and stylishly presented on a long wooden board with salad garnish. Plenty to eat for 2. So glad we chose the Angel Inn on our way to Harrogate.

1st time visiting for lunch today and will be back soon. The food was amazing..I had liver and bacon followed by cherry cheesecake...the best meal I have eaten out for a long time. The atmosphere is nice a friendly and relaxed. Thank you.

As a HGV driver, parking up at the services and walking 10 minutes to this establishment is absolutely recommended, and worth it for anyone.Great food & staff! Will always come here when I’m up these neck of the woods!

Booked for an evening meal . The staff were excellent, very friendly and helpful. We ordered drinks and a meal , both came very quickly without delay , my partners meal was very good and she gave it a thumbs up , my meal however was very disappointing . I chose the homemade meat and potato pie , chips and mushy peas . The peas were cold and the chips were lukewarm and limp , the pie was also disappointing , it came in a little dish with a pastry top just resting on top , the pastry was impossible to eat as it literally broke into tiny flakes that were very difficult to get onto the fork without breaking into even smaller pieces , it seemed overcooked . The pie filling was no better, there was one small piece of cold hard potato inside and half a dozen very small overcooked but cold pieces of meat that were stuck to the bottom of the dish , the only moisture in the pie appeared to be a piece of cold mushy sweet potatoe , no gravy or juice from the meat , I left 90 % of the meal . The pub seemed busy and everyone else seemed to be enjoying their meal , including my partner so I didn't want to make a fuss and embarrass any of the staff or my partner so just let it go . I was very surprised and disappointed as I have heard nothing but good reviews from this establishment, maybe it was a one off , but in all honesty I couldn't recommend the meat and potato pie dish to anyone .

Four for lunch on 1st Dec. Delighted to find a Christmas Lunch on the menu at a very reasonable £10.50 with all the trimmings. And it was good, as were the cod and haddock enjoyed by our visitors. Desserts were varied and munchy. The dining area was beautifully festively decorated and service was prompt and attentive. All in all a very pleasurable experience.
