Really disappointed with our meal today. We waited an hour for it despite only one other table eating and booking in advance. The staff were friendly but the food was below average. The place needs a good clean and the toilets are nothing short of disgusting. Also there was no hand soap or sanitiser which these days is just not good enough.

Poor choice of ale, but enjoyed the quiz night. Didn't try the food.

Food was spot on just a few missaps along the way had to ask for the food that was supposed to come along with the meal mushrooms and onion rings with the steaks we ordered and tautra sauce with the fish and chips. Also had to send a sauce back as it was cold

Now it's reopened, was good to see the pub busy. Sunday roast was well presented and home made Yorkshire puds were great. Good selection of veg and good selection of drinks too. Staff were attentive and very pleasant. Well laid out and good eating area. A big bonus to the village of WoodsettsCertainly will be returning

Could do with some pictures and knick knacks to make the place more homely - the lounge looked far too bare. Good value for money pub food e.g. £10 for 2 mains. Fish, chips and peas well cooked, crisp and not greasy. Steak pie, chips and peas flavoursome and hearty portion.

Genuinely excellent service. There was no toilet roll but I'd already used the toilet to have a poo. I pulled up my trousers and tried to not get poo on my pants whilst I carefully made my way to the bar for help.I told the man who served me that there was currently no toilet roll in the toilet and that I'd just had a poo but still have some poo in my bum which I needed to wipe away. Nearby customers laughed and I felt utterly humiliated, but the staff couldn't have been more welcoming. They put me at ease, telling me not to worry, and got the toilet roll straight away.I wiped my bum and carried on eating my delicious cottage pie.

I'm glad for one reviewer that dogs are allowed. Sadly disabled don't appear to be welcomed, until wheelchair access is provided in toilet areas it's not going to be a comfortable place to eat and drink.

Lovely local pub in country side location. Great friendly staff and great food. Fun for all. Beer garden kids and dogs welcomed. Regular beer festivals. Real ales and guest beers .

Had a Sunday 10/04/2016 carvery lunch and the food was a absolutely below standard, mash was sour, roast potatoes were grey and hard, the veg were nearly raw,the Yorkshire pudding had no resemblance of a Yorkshire pudding. The beef and gravy were the only parts of the dinner fit to eat!!One of the employees,I think the Landlady, had the same meal and had one mouth full of the mash and no more.......why? I do not not recommend this pub for a Sunday lunch.
