China Moon in Bassetlaw

Last night I had a chicken curry and egg fried rice. The colour was very odd colour and didn’t taste the best.I have spent the following morning with my head over the toilet with food poisoning. I have used China moon for years and noticed the food quality getting worse and that will be my last time ordering I’m sad to say…

Always consistent quality food & staff 10/10

My wife and I ordered a takeaway from here whilst away on holiday this week. The lady who took the order was lovely, the food was prepared quickly and with generous portions. The sweet and sour chicken Hong Kong style in particular had plenty of meat (in comparison to some others I’ve tried!). Would happily recommend and would visit again. The location may be a little unconventional being next to a busy main road but the food is delicious and I look forward to dining in the restaurant next time.

Best Chinese takeaway in the area! Been coming to China Moon many years. The owners are lovely and welcoming and the restaurant is very nice and clean.

I find it hard to fault the many take away meals we have had, the portions are generous and the food is always presented hot so it's a surprise to me to see any negative comments

I found China Mooon when while staying in the area for work.I enjoyed the food, atmosphere and excellent service so much, I went back for a second meal the next day.The restraunt and toilets were clean.A great choice of food. You can eat with the traditional chopsticks and bowels or request knife and fork.I will definitely be back when I'm next in the area.

We call occasionally to this restaurant when coming back to Lincolnshire from Yorkshire, after a family visit. It is our treat to ourselves. We love the food and the staff are very welcoming. Ample parking too. We have always had a very tasty meal at each visit. Last week at the end of our meal we were given some fruit on a plate and the waitress set off the dry ice at the table. Very effective.

We celebrated my dad's birthday here and the staff were great, as was the food.

We visited early evening. 3 adults and my 2 children, age 8 and 4. What a fabulous place!!!I massively recommend this restaurant if visiting with children. The service was brilliant. The serving staff were very attentive and encouraged my son to clear his plate with promise of a "surprise" at the end and we were not disappointed! I agree with other reviews, DO NOT be put off by the exterior. Fabulous service and the food was delicious.

Had a few visits here on family occasions and always had great service with staff who are more than happy to help.Can’t fault the food at all.Nice atmosphere.Smart/Casual dressed customers.Brilliant Birthday Cake Service&seems that customers help sing along to Happy Birthday if they feel the need yet that’s voluntary but very friendly&fun.
