Elms Hotel in Bassetlaw

First time having dinner here In a couple of years, I have to say it has been amazing great food, fantastic service and the staff are lovely so helpful x

We booked on the day and arrived quite late to a beautiful looking hotel, and friendly staff. Our room was comfortable and clean and our stay pleasant. Each and every staff member took time to speak to us.. such a friendly hotel, we will stay again!

The Restaurant was excellent 👍🏻 Fantastic value for money and the food is so well cooked and very generous portion sizes we will definitely be returning 😊

Errrr no won’t stay again. Stayed in the stables, (that’s why I got a long face )floors creak like fook , kept getting woke up by people moving around no sleep. Mattress uncomfortable. Place old and tired needs refurb.

We booked last minute on a Sunday for a party of 14 for evening meal in the bar. Staff were amazing as was the food. Cannot Fault anything and will definitely be returning. Thank you for making our family meal so enjoyable A+++

Beautiful venue! Restaurant lovely...decorated with unusual colours and wallpaper (very orientall) ...loved the monkeys on the wallpaper. Lovely food. Clean. Well spaced out tables. Pleasant courtious staff. Lovely meal. Thank you. x x x

Enjoyable evening had, lovely Indian restaurant great menu, recently redecorated, rooms available great family run place with polite and helpful staff

The room was unclean and absolutely freezing yet there was no staff around to ask regarding heating. The hotel stank and there was a grimey feel to everything including the bed sheets. We were ushered into the back door after arriving late after a 4 hour journey due to roadworks and then payment was demanded upon entry. Customer service was awful and the stay was uncomfortable from start to finish!

Do not go to this place to work if you’re starting out on your first job. There is no training offered when you start, they expect young teenagers to know what they are doing, for example: being told to work behind a bar with no adult supervision. The expectations of young workers are way too high, and the responsibilities given to them are even higher. To top it all off, the pay is absolutely terrible for what you have to do, and you have to work at least two months in advanced to get fully paid. Now been informed I’m not allowed to be served and very unpleasant to work with.

Went for Sunday dinner today, the food was excellent and the staff very attentive even though they were 2 men down. The decor is really nice too, fancy wallpaper and chandeliers.
