We came in on Saturday in the hope of getting a table. We had not booked but the lovely landlady organised to open upstairs. Glad she did as the food was amazing. Proper fresh cooked chips. I had the OMG burger and had to struggle to finish it but I had too it was homemade and cooked perfect. So so jucy.Staff where spot on.very accomadating and friendly.

Visited on an impulse. We were amazed at the standard of the fare. The fish, scampi, pork steak , and burgers were sublime and more than a pleasure to eat. Really great food, now on the list of great food to return to, and the portions are not small. Prepare to eat well.

Only had a few beers and pudding but staff was lovely and helpful. Waffle was very good. And my partner lobed the sticky toffee pud

Service was excellent and the food was really well prepared. Excellent set menu for Valentine's and a beautiful steak dinner for £35 per head. Can't speak highly enough of the place.

Found this lovely pub when passing on a journey and had a really great lunch. Tasty, a plate full, very good price and the staff were most helpful. Fully recommend.

Dined at the beautiful pub today for our daughter in laws birthday meal . The food was excellent and although there was quite a crowd of us everyone was catered for together. The staff were friendly and it was lovely surroundings would definitely recommend to try this pub we will definitely go back!

The staff are great here trying to cope with post lockdown busy times. We had to wait about 30mins for evening meal (6pm) but portions were good and food tasty. Reasonable price for food £7.25 for steak pie and chips , £11 for a double burger, £9.50 for special scampi and chips. Drinks £3.80 a pint for Greene King IPA which I thought was a bit steep for house beer.

Beautiful setting. We sat outside with our little dog and had a few drinks and a sharing platter. The atmosphere, food and drinks were all lovely. We will definitely be back and would highly recommend this gorgeous little pub. Thank you 😊

Old traditional style pub with a countryside setting feel to it with ample parking to the rear or across on the opposite side of the road. Outside seating is available near the front doors with views across to a picturesque grass area with a running stream.Hand sanitiser stations are in place by the entrance doors along with the NHS app check-in details, On this occasion (thurs 1 July 2021)a table booking was previously made for our family party of 7.The seating table area was ready & waiting with very pleasant staff on duty, drink orders were quickly taken ,there's a good variety choice on the menu including starters, mains & specials .With only 2 starters ordered, there was a long delay before the mains arrived but with the news 1 main was going to be a few mins late ,this was a lot longer as some in the party had already finished their meals .which wasn't great as it was a salad based meal 😕which was missing ,wasn't a great experience but I do recommend you try a visit as the food is normally very nice..
