King William IV in Bassetlaw

Food is mediocre for the price, but the one star review is for the state of the toilet. Mens toilet is disgusting. The radiator is rusty and has needed painting for over a year. The taps also don’t work properly and you can’t wash your hands properly, which given the pandemic you’d think was paramount to safety. The MDF pipe boxing at the back of the toilet is blown and should use UPVC instead. I’ve been twice over the last 18months and mentioned it to the manager both times and they’ve quite clearly done nothing.I think the state of the toilet reflects their attitude to food hygiene. I won’t be visiting this place again until there is new management and this is resolved.Other restaurants have used the pandemic as an opportunity to refurbish, these clearly haven’t and they’ve had more than enough opportunity.To quote a viral YouTube video, it’s DISGUSTING!!!

Somewhat reasonable prices, decent quality food, I had the mac n cheese burger which was lovely (although the coleslaw was a bit bland), unfortunately our order took a good 45 mins to an hour to arrive although there was a large group that arrived close to the same time as us so that was somewhat understandable. Wasn't breathtaking but it was a nice meal out. Will be coming again!

This is a lovely, warm and welcoming family pub/restaurant with a relaxed atmosphere. The food is always delicious and served in good time.The manager and staff are really friendly and helpful and nothing is too much trouble. We can highly recommend this place and will be going back again. 🙂

Lovely birthday meal, food was yummy. Staff fantastic took our own birthday cake and they put candles in for us. Nothing was too much trouble will definitely be going again.

Went here again this weekend and had the carvery, decent portions for the price, filled the plate up high, everything was cooked well. Staff are very friendly and attentivePlates, cuttlery and glasses were clean (we've been placed before where there's still dried sauce stuck to the bottom and puts you off a bit) as was the restaurantDefinitely will be dining here again, highly reccomended

We (me and my two sisters) had another enjoyable lunch here today . Thank you Rad for your hospitality and great sence of humor. It would get 5 stars if the menu had a few more choices , thats not Rads fault. See you again soon :)

Excellent food all 3 of us enjoyed our food. Cooked to perfection. None of the other "chain restaurants " come up to this standard .We had 3 completely clean plates. Super service.

We've almost become regular customers recently. Always happy to go there for an evening meal. Excellent service from very nice staff.

Was met at the door and shown to my seat. Had a look at menu and went to the bar to order. My drink was taken to table while I ordered. Didn't have to wait long for my meal to come. Had smothered chicken, it was well presented and tasted nice. Treated myself to chocolate torte for afters. Everything was clean and tidy and the staff were pleasant and welcoming.
