Liquorice Gardens in Bassetlaw

We had not been to Weather spoons for quite a while. And had not been to this venue for. couple of years.We were here on Sat evening 3 Apr 2022. Given the state of inflation, we were surprised to see the changes in prices. Not in a good way.We ordered food & must say that we were totally underwhelmed with the fish & chips at £5.99. The presentation was appalling, no garnish, no pride. And it did look like & probably was direct from the microwave. Manage -& Chef whoever you are! Take a pride I'n what you're serving. Unfortunately this isn't just Weatherspoons it's happening everywhere. Extremely poor

Really busy at lunch and staff were struggling to keep the tables cleared and cleaned. Not their fault it needs more staff during peak periods. Could do with a deep clean!

Been a patron for many years, cheap and cheerful but always consistent quality food and drink. Great choice of both. Can't fault it and would highly recommend ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Staff always friendly here. Can get a little busy at times and wait times for service can extend. But it's a spoons in a big town to be expected.Maybe some extra staff in the busy periods and would be a 5* rating.

Had to come into town early so decided to have breakfast here, save cooking. Had traditional breakfast two rashers bacon, two hash browns, 1 fried egg, sausage beans and slice of toast with a pat of butter for £3.95. Was served within a few minutes nice and hot and well presented. The staff are cheerful and pleasant to talk to.

Service could have been better had I not been kept waiting whist member of staff stopped chatting to two regulars who were standing drinking at end of bar !! Pay attention lass

Standard Wetherspoons affair, with a nice outdoor seating area. Friendly staff, good quality reasonably priced food and a good range of decent drinks, including Leffe on tap.

One star all I giving use to be good service last couple times been in some of the staff want to learn customer service I won't be going in anymore but food is nice

Great food and very speedy service. Always well looked after. Very reasonable prices for both food and drinks.

I have to say I really enjoyed my fish and scampi. It was all cooked to perfection. The scampi was whole tail with no funky bits at all. The cook certainly knows their business. All the staff were cheerful too. Would have paid much more at a chippy for less.
