Little Chef Markham Moor North in Bassetlaw

This meal exceeded my expectations.The restaurant is very clean inside and the staff were very kind.The sushi is fantastic and fresh. we ordered the 50 piece special as seen in the pictures.All the other dishes we had were a 10/10Can't recommend enough, we will be back!

Last night I had a chicken curry and egg fried rice. The colour was very odd colour and didn’t taste the best.I have spent the following morning with my head over the toilet with food poisoning. I have used China moon for years and noticed the food quality getting worse and that will be my last time ordering I’m sad to say…

My wife and I ordered a takeaway from here whilst away on holiday this week. The lady who took the order was lovely, the food was prepared quickly and with generous portions. The sweet and sour chicken Hong Kong style in particular had plenty of meat (in comparison to some others I’ve tried!). Would happily recommend and would visit again. The location may be a little unconventional being next to a busy main road but the food is delicious and I look forward to dining in the restaurant next time.

Arrived to what essentially is a very old and tired, almost derelict looking Little chef building in desperate need of at the very least a clean up and lick of paint. Inside decor was much better. Food was ok nothing special. Service was terrible obviously serving take away customers over the restaurant. We were in at 5.45pm so some of the first ones in for a meal with young family. It was so bad we had to tell them we were going to leave if they didn't bring out our mains within a further 5 mins as had waited at least 40 mins from our duck course which was itself poorly shredded and lacking the accompanying pancakes, sauce and salad.The complimentary prawn crackers tasted awful, rancid oil or something off. We sent them back and they were replaced with a slightly better tasted batch. Meat dishes are small and bulked out with veg. Staff were miserable and the head waitress (possibly owner) was bordering rude. Everything you had to ask for and it seemed like they were doing you a favour. Drinks were warm and fizzy ones flat Definitely would not recommend or go back.

We celebrated my dad's birthday here and the staff were great, as was the food.

We visited early evening. 3 adults and my 2 children, age 8 and 4. What a fabulous place!!!I massively recommend this restaurant if visiting with children. The service was brilliant. The serving staff were very attentive and encouraged my son to clear his plate with promise of a "surprise" at the end and we were not disappointed! I agree with other reviews, DO NOT be put off by the exterior. Fabulous service and the food was delicious.

Had a few visits here on family occasions and always had great service with staff who are more than happy to help.Can’t fault the food at all.Nice atmosphere.Smart/Casual dressed customers.Brilliant Birthday Cake Service&seems that customers help sing along to Happy Birthday if they feel the need yet that’s voluntary but very friendly&fun.

Vegetarian menu highly recommended (we had the vegetarian set menu and every dish was superb). The restaurant was clean and comfortable and the staff were all polite and attentive. We had a delightful evening finished off with being given a handmade flower. Looking forward to our next visit.
