Markham Moor Truckstop in Bassetlaw

First time I have stopped here for years.The menu is limited to a few meals (as with most places in the current climate) and my chicken skewers was better than I expected.£19.50 to park overnight is reasonable in my opinion!Called again January 2022, whoops what a mess! A single toilet, no access to the main toilets. Walked over to the restaurant, if that's what you call it, no menu up and the stench of used cooking oil......Back to the wagon to make a sandwich. Snap account parking as well as cash n card, reasonably quiet considering its situated just off the A1.Showers are pretty standard but work efficiently.The cafe is good, a choice of carvery or a set menu at a reasonable price plus home made dessert choices

Really popular and busy truck stop,£21 to park for the night with shower and meal voucher all in. Good hearty food in the cafe with friendly staff serving👍

Best to drive straight past. Ordered 2 breakfasts and 2 coffees. The food was rank and the so called coffee was just brown water. Needless to say both were left and we got back in the car feeling sick rather than hungry. I much preferred the hungry feeling and that didn’t cost nearly 20 quid

Absolute shambles, pulled in 2.30pm no-one about, asked strange looking bloke who was emptying bins how i pay for parking, he said he would be around 5 or 10 mins. I explained to him that i would be leaving around 7 and back after 12 so would that be ok for my overnight stay, his arrogant reply was "should be".After 15 minutes he dad passed me twice without acknowledgement, i explained that i was working nights and needed to check into hotel asap to grab a couple of hours sleep, he just ignored me again.I finally got sorted after 35 mins of sitting around watching him empty bins that he had already emptied."NEVER AGAIN"

Great place to charge if you have an EV. There are 4 ultra fast chargers but do check on Zapmap or Shell site that they are working before planning to stop.

Great well run site,shown to your parking space and good security. building is dated but clean and tidy. only issue if on SNAP its extra for shower ( £3 ) but you get £3 off your food. easy access to A1 north and south. plus garage next door plus,mac,kfc. Happy to stop again for me

I just pulled over to this (Shell?) Service Station on long drive off motorway & took couple of photos of the crescent moon more visible in reality the sky at the time & next day, Google asked me to post & review! It was& is good for truck, lorry, van & car drivers to have somewhere to pull over on long journeys, thank you !
