Thaymar Tea Room in Bassetlaw

Visited for the first time today and was really impressed. The choice and quality of food was excellent. I had the prawn and avocado salad bowl and it was the best salad I’ve had in a very long time. All the food looked amazing and everyone looked really happy. Definitely will be going again on a regular basis. Staff were first rate too.

Loved this place when it was a small cosy place in the house. Nice setting, great food, service a little slow when busy. Bit chaotic. Forgot sprinkles on grandaughters ice cream and I had to ask twice for cream for my coffee

Fantastic Tea Room. Been many times over the years when travelling around the Newark and Markham areas. The vegan food and normal food is absolutely delicious. The desserts, sorbets and ice-creams are brilliant as well. The staff and service is very good. Great location and scenery.

Very busy yesterday but we'll staffed. Lady that served us was lovely, friendly and patient. Delicious ice-cream in a lovely setting. Shop well stocked.

Brilliant ice cream and lots of flavours to choose from. Only downside is the wait time, they could do with improving the ice cream parlour, maybe put more staff on serving ice creams

Love this place! Definitely the best ice cream around! So much choice and the flavours are amazing! The staff are always so friendly and helpful too! The team room is always busy which is great to see! Only downside for me is I live in Essex now, so I hardly ever get to go! Good job really or I'd be the size of one of their milking cows!!

Fantastic food, fantastic drinks,absolutely fantastic staff.The food is piping hot and tasty, also, they are not particularly shy with there helpings. Coffee is nice and tasty as well. The food took only 5 or 6 minutes to arrive from the point of ordering. Nice little shop as well with books etc inside.The staff is lovely and polite, nothing is to much for them. They were more than helpful with my elderly parents. They all has pleasant smiles on there faced too. Even when under pressure, with a full and busy tea room, the staff are pleasant and there courtesy knows no bounds. And customers do not have to wait to long for there food and drinks.Definitely will become a repeat customer.

I do love the quality of the produce here but it's very rare you can get a seat to sit down to eat and there are always queues for ice-cream.

Always an amazing visit here. The ice creams are delicious - Look forward to going again soon!

Absolutely love this place. Beautiful food. We have tried burgers, afternoon teas and of course multiple ice creams throughout the past 12 months or so when they re-opened for takeaways following the covid-19 lockdown restrictions. Never disappoints, and I’ve now introduced my sister & husband, my parents and in-laws. All of us are of the same mind. It’s wonderful! I’m sure we’ll be back soon!
