We frequent this place every so often and it's amazing for the beers. The on-site brewed beers are excellent and reasonably priced and the staff are really helpful and informative. Their food menu is also second to none, the burgers are superb and their chips are coated with rosemary. We have also been in for Sunday lunch which is very good. Cannot fault this place at all.

The best atmosphere of any pub in Retford, as well as beer choice. Food is pretty good, but what really makes this place is the craft beer options - some of them being made right behind the pub itself.

Quirky pub split over two floors with a great outside beer garden on the Chesterfield canal side. Good selection of beers, ciders and wine. Would recommend and will re-visit when back in the area.

Think we might be coming weekly. The food was amazing, rosemary on the chips who new would be so iconic. The burger literally melted in your mouth. And the waitress we had on Tuesday night with brown hair was lovely incredibly helpful and lovely. 10/10 we haven't even had dessert yet ☺️

It's a lovely place to have some peace and rest. The staff are kind and caring. It's a great place for children to play outside in the terrace. The food is delicious the meat and mash was a bit too salty but well the chef must be in love. 😊 We really enjoyed being there this afternoon.

Extremely friendly and helpful staff. The local ale's we tried were spot on and the hunters chicken we had was the best ever. Dog friendly as well , would highly recommend a visit.

Pub style no frills interior. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Food was averagely priced, plentiful and tasty, more good quality pub food than restaurant standard. Overall a pleasant experience but not a place you feel you must rush back to.

Visited here on a Thursday evening for a meal. The venue was busy with a pleasant atmosphere. We were shown to our table, booking recommended, and presented with the menu and drink/food order taken in a timely manner.Food was very nice and the chef did visit the dining area and had a chat with the diners which was very nice and dont often see.Would recommend a visit.

Impressive in so many ways! I'd heard amazing things about the food, drink, atmosphere and friendliness of the Brew Shed, but it really does leave a great taste in the mouth!I went with 3 others who all raved about their meals and drinks.I had got in touch ahead of the meal, but Tom the Chef made an effort to come out to speak directly with me about any food sensitivities I have. Because of the various issues, it is really difficult to get a decent meal out, but Tom listened and came up with a brilliant meal for me. Oh the taste was FABULOUS! So full of flavour! The chicken was incredibly succulent too. This Chef knows his craft and he oozes food knowledge and passion for cooking amazing meals. Just LOOK at that basil under the halloumi! This meal is delicious. Ohh and the halloumi is the best I've had!Honestly, this is the BEST meal I've had out in a long time. It looked great, it tasted incredible. The drinks are excellent too.The staff are all friendly, attentive and very nice.I think I've found the perfect place to eat ❤️
