The Hop Pole in Bassetlaw

My daughter took me here for my birthday lunch and it was delicious. It was a Sunday so a little busy so we waited a while for our meal but it was well worth the wait. I had the roast beef and my daughter had the chicken.We will definitely be returning midweek to see what the rest of the menu has to offer 😊

Has had a full refurb. Only called for lunch but look forward going back in the summer to sit in the fabulous gardens along side the canal and one evening with friends. Lovely place staff very friendly and well worth going

Fantastic pub. Large range of larger and cider. 3 real ales. Wide choice Menu at reasonable prices. Wonderful outside seating area next to the canal. Dog friendly

Really do like this place, not the cheapest for food but the quality reflects the price. Nice busy place and would recommend booking if you want food as it gets full rather fast. Well worth a visit.

Nice decor and a good feel to the place, however the service was poor and slow. We had to remind the girls a couple of times that we were waiting for drinks/ condiments… menu was very limited and not as per the website and despite wit being 7pm, they had sold out of a few bits already.

Absolutely superb! Always managed to drive past the Hop Pole, for no particular reason,however a recent lunchtime buffet elevated The Hop Pole amongst the best.A very special Birthday, came along that required just that! something special. The food is top class, and although short staffed the service from Molly was excellent. Thank you for making the evening so special

Lovely place good food and friendly staff

Very friendly family run this beautiful pub and restaurant. The garden is amazing, with lots of unusual seating areas, such as Tiki huts. We were allowed to moor our narrowboat there and enjoyed a sumptuous Sunday lunch. We met some lovely people, and one couple have become firm friends that we will certainly see again. We're looking forward to mooring here again on our return trip.

What special cars!!!!!! Great night its getting really popular but the owner can't get staff so long long wait for the bar(over 30mins) but everyone was happy to wait on this special night , there was a Maclaren worth around 1.5 million 😀 there(I was told) it's worth a visit for old & young alike,they have the event twice a month 👍
