The King and Miller in Bassetlaw

Used to love this place for food , was always great service and food was lovely . Went yesterday for some lunch husband had mixed grill , all of his meat was burnt to a crisp, along with my double hunters chicken. Felt like swallowing razor blades . Lady asked how our meal was the meat was left and we told her how disappointing it was and it was charcoaled and dry to her reply “ oh no “ walked away and carried on serving other tables . Won’t go again . The only photo I managed to get of the meat on my plate 😂😂

Always enjoy tea here.. Often take our granddaughter and she loves it too. Nice food and great staff.

Nice friendly staff. Food on the poor side, was 3/4 full at the time so took 35mins to arrive.

Went to king and miller last wednesday 18/2/22 and I would never go in again we ordered Haddock and chips was really looking forward to them but was greatly disappointed chips from freezer battered haddock from freezer we would have been better going to chip shop and would also been better value the 4 stars are from a while ago not this visit would only give 1 star I suggest if you like ready meals that go from freezer to microwave or deep fat fryer you will be ok

Had an excellent steak here this evening, cooked to perfection. Friendly environment with great staff. Free car parking and wheelchair accessible

Worst meal out ever, not usually one to complain, but I ordered a mixed grill & sent it back twice because the gammon was raw. I know a lot of places struggle to get a steak how you want it, but gammon! You can kill someone with raw pork! Something seriously wrong if their kitchen staff think that pink gammon is good to serve! I won't be trying it again. Hope I'm not ill tomorrow from having a few pieces until I realised! Staff weren't to interested, just said sorry & brought me another meal. That's not what I wanted. Pork should be cooked thoroughly and to the right temperature to ensure food safety. My advice would be, give it a miss.

Nice food at a good price. If your looking for somewhere to have a quick cheap meal this is the place. Also has a bar and pool table if your just wanting to socialise

Had a really nice meal, food was good and didnt have to wait too long from ordering. Table service was good too so will be going back in the future.

Table booked and shown immediately to our seats upon arrival. Please remember that the waitresses don't take your orders you either have to use their app or go to the bar. Luckily the bar area was quiet so orders placed and the food arrived sizzling hot not long afterwards. Food was nice but if you have a big appetite you may consider the portions a little small. Will we go again?yes we would.

Been there a few times before and the food was lovely. Today however the chicken and sausages on the mixed grill were burnt. The gammon was very salty.
