"The Lock Keeper in Worksop welcomes you to a family-friendly pub where great food comes first. Our extensive menu is a favourite with the locals, who can’t get enough of our traditional carvery and classic pub grub. Whether it’s steak and Marston’s Pedigree ale pie, a mixed grill, or a choice of roasts in the carvery, there’s always something to make your mouth water. We’re a real family pub, offering a warm and friendly environment for large groups and every age range. Visit us for a quiet midweek lunch by the canal, or bring the whole clan for a celebration!"

Staff very friendly and helpful. Had the carvery price very reasonable but can't say the quality of the food was very good. Veggies over cooked burnt infact meat very dry. And also could have been warmer. On the plus side gravy and Yorkshire pudding very good.

Lovely pub, the food is always amazing! And I love that it's by the canal, the outside is well looked after too, we can't wait to visit in summer. We had carvery and pudding was even tempted by the cake counter. I recommend this place, without a doubt. We'll be back soon.

We popped in around 13.30 for lunch on a Sunday and tried the carvery for the first time. Everything was delicious. Very welcoming staff and a great play area for kids. We enjoyed a short meander along the canal too. Would definitely return.

Had a lovely meal at the Lockkeeper today, we went for a walk with the dog by the canal and decided to pop in! Place looks amazing, food was delicious and the carvery was amazing! Staff couldn't do enough for us, we'll be back soon. Didn't realise you were dog friendly too, which is a bonus.

We visited today with a party of 9, the service we received was exceptional from both the servers and the carver behind the carvery deck. The food was perfect, and the atmosphere was amazing! We had a lovely time, and we will be back again soon. Thankyou very much.

Fantastic customer service, everyone had a smile on their faces and were very welcoming. Amber served me the perfect pint. Lovely food, it was well presented and and up to temperature. Had a great atmosphere all round, lovely chats with the staff. 10/10 would recommend.

A great hotel, great staff. A pain to have to go to the pub reception for the key though, especially when it’s tipping it down with rain. And in the morning after breakfast the key card wouldn’t let us back into the hotel block so we had to go again, in the pouring rain, back to the pub to get it sorted. Other than that great rooms and superb staff that you should be proud of

Had a great meal, the staff were friendly and welcoming, the hotel room was clean and fresh, we stayed for two nights and both nights we couldn't have asked for more from the team.Special thanks to Amanda and Elise for helping us with the kids whilst we took our things to the room!

Booked a family room for Friday and Saturday night. Room was air conditioned but limited to 19°C. It was generally clean but when I went to pick up a glass from the tray it was stuck so badly it knocked over the cups that were on there. Nowhere near enough milk or sugar provided, had to ask staff for extra. Bathroom had a shower over the bath, supplied by a mixer tap. Was quite hard work to get it to stay on shower setting instead of tap. Loo paper was very cheap and nasty (suggest you take your own), liquid soap is in a dispenser both over the bath and by the sink.Considering the room is supposed to be for 3 people it is definitely not adequately equipped. 5 coat hangers in a small wardrobe and although I am only 5'1" it wasn't long enough to hang my knee length dress without it bunching up at the bottom. No drawers at all, just a couple of shelves at bottom of wardrobe. No bedside cabinets, just a small shelf either side of double bed. Double socket underneath shelf with 2 USB sockets. I used 1 of these to plug my phone in to charge overnight but realised in the morning it hadn't charged at all.Went to beer garden Friday night for a drink. You have to order via their website and it is delivered to your table. Very expensive drinks! Waited over 20 minutes for it to arrive, had to go into bar to chase, then arrived within a couple of minutes. Tried to order a 2nd drink about 10.15 only to be told by the website that service wasn't available. Asked a member of staff who said they had stopped serving. Tried again on Saturday night at 9.50 to order drinks again to find they had stopped serving!Had breakfast Saturday morning. Tables were clean and well presented. Menu was a little confusing had to ask waiter for explanation. No decaffeinated coffee available. Food was ok but definitely not worth the price. Waiter was polite but a little surly.
