The Old School Tea Room in Bassetlaw

Very helpful staff and excellent breakfast. Great value for money. My only mild criticism is that the indoor dog friendly table is a small round table, so fine for two, but for our party of four, it was a bit difficult to get four plates and coffees on the table. Will definitely be returning.

Excellent Customer Service. Advise book before arrival. Very quaint & homely and not pretentious. Only comment though, having previously been advised that one of our group was Coeliac (wheat / grain type allergy), I was quite underwhelmed by the uninspirational repetitive choice of “gluten free bread” and “Vegetable Soup” …. and then bread and Soup, and there’s always the Gluten free bread and Veg soup……. I got the idea that the dietary heads up had been overlooked. Fabulous Liver & Onion choice from the special board saved the day and the Bacon & Brie Cabatta was very tasty, I’d seriously encourage them to consider including a choice of more appetising coeliac offering as standard in the future….?

Would advice booking a table. The food is very nice and the staff are friendly. It's a wounderful place to chill for awhile.

Very nice... 5 of us this morning for full English breakfast... I'm not complaining here but the last few times we've been the food seems to get cold quite quickly .. but still lovely all the same..

My wife had a jacket potato which had been precooked and only slightly warmed, l had quiche with salad and a bowl of chips. The chips were underdone and the quiche was very poor quality. I can't recommend the food but the drinks and service was good

1 of the staff was so helpful as had a puncture on motorbike rear tyre. She lent me her own car pump to inflate it to get me back home. Thank you so very much i never asked your name. The cappuccinos we're good to.

Perfect break from cycling around Clumber with an unexpected dog leg due to a shut gate 😒 x we had worked up an appetite.....Idyllic location outside, friendly and perfect service amazing food at good value price!Thanks for a lovely break off the saddle!

Great tearoom on a sunny day sat outside watching the world go. Food was tasty and the staff were delightful and attentive.

Nice little tearooms. Quick service & tasty food. Gluten free, veggie & vegan options available. Flat paved car park with disabled parking. Gets better reviews than the nearby cafe at Clumber Park. Photos include vegan cottage pie, gluten free apple & blackberry crumble & custard.
