Very pleasant country pub unfortunately no food this week due to holidays which I understand everybody deserves a holiday

Pleasant pub and friendly staff. Accommodated 7 of us outside without booking. Only Sunday carvery available , some items overcooked, filled a gap but not the best I've had, especially for the price

Well worth a visit, very welcoming Landlord and staff, had Fish & Chips, beautiful, best pint of Timothy Taylor’s Landlord Ale I have had in a while, will definitely be visiting again……and again.

Great food great value for money just let down by the time given to eat youre food half an hour isn't really long enough and if you want a dessert you have to go outside and sit a table in the beer garden nor the way I want to eat my dinner ty

A great place to visit to order a carvery. A good size portions of meat and help yourself to vegetables. Also lovely deserts. Will come back here the next time we come this way.Could’ve wait to get stuck in.

Really disappointed. I met my sisters here to celebrate my birthday as it was the half way point from our homes. When asking about information over messenger, their response was cold and direct. I put this down to them being busy and as they answered my questions, I didn’t think much more of it. When we arrived the young waitress was lovely and attentive, however, we were told when booking the table via phone call that we had the table until 3:30pm, however, shortly after 2:30pm we were told the table would be needed at 3pm, which cut our stay short, but accepted this and started to close off our conversations when 5 minutes later we were told very abruptly and rudely by another staff member that we need to leave as there were people waiting at the bar. I asked to pay and if we could split the bill 4 ways, to which the staff member huffed and made apparent we were being an inconvenience. It was extremely awkward and we left feeling strange and sure we would not be returning. We sat in one of our cars for a little while longer to say our goodbyes, as we didn’t want to be any more of an inconvenience to them by standing at the bar!The food was very basic and their coffees were ok at best. But the worst part of our stay was the rudeness from the staff (not including the young waitress who served us our drinks).

The best fish and chips I've had in years. What a great place, there's plenty of atmosphere and people who work here are so friendly and welcoming. Thanks for a good time tonight, we'll be back when we're next in Blyth.

Met daughter's here to celebrate a 21st over the carvery. Food was good, service attentive, no fuss when I asked for knife and plates for birthday cake. Would go back
