Torworth Grange in Bassetlaw

Great location and layout, staff are friendly and welcoming. The food was lovely tasting but not quite matched to description and expectations. For example the pancake stack...see picture..two American style pancakes flat on a plate..taste great but for the cost expected a stack to contain at least 3 otherwise not really a stack.Sausage cob with bacon...got one piece of bacon which cost extra...I understand costs of food items I eat out a lot....but again not value for money compared to other similar places in the area.Lovely farm shop area and clothes shop and I liked the outdoor seating area too...would I go again, for coffee yes....

We booked this site after looking at reviews. Lovely looking site with views of nice lakes! but that for us is where it ended. There 15 pitches with one unisex toilet and one unisex shower..There is nobody to supervise site when cafe closes and its anything but peaceful with the busy A638 very near and a very busy main train line. We booked on pitchup and where is said what time we would arrive, I put 1pm then somebody rang me to say checking is 2pm and if I wanted to come at 1 I would have to pay £8. Never had that before. Hard standing are very small and have to walk out on muddy grass. Nice size pitches and better grass on grass pitches. All pitches has its own water. And food did look nice in cafe. Never tried it!
