"The Elephant & Castle is one of those "hidden gems" of a pub. Paint in your mind's eye a traditional village pub and you're nearly there! A warm a friendly welcome is assured and for those who love great ales and great food you will love the "Home of the Herd"! A "proper" village pub popular with locals and those from a little further afield. Diners with special dietary requirements can be more than catered for especially those who need to eat "gluten-free" as Paul, the Landlord, is a Coeliac himself. The pub is very "dog friendly" and customers with dogs can expect a warm welcome by Jack and Maizie (the pub dogs)"

Great value tasty food great staff and management. Just been again for lunch today 29th Jan 2022, still the best kept pinf of old original I have ever had from Everard s, consistently good, food lovely also keep it up

Food as good as usual but a word of caution, the starters are rather large so if you want a pudding, forget the starters!!

Had a lovely meal with mum today, mum had hand battered fish with huge steak cut chips, I enjoyed Lisa's cottage pie nice touch with the celery. Hosts were perfect company, real home from home, very relaxed atmosphere and a lovely time spent. Sensibly priced too. Take a look you won't be disappointed ...

I have been twice in the last two weeks. Excellent food, fast and fresh, decent portions, very reasonable price. The steak and the fish & chips were both great value. Being table service only (due to covid) staff were extremely attentive and Covid precautions are spot on: masks, screens, disposable menus, track and trace, sanitising gel stations, etc..
