Poacher's Brasserie in Blaby

Please give this lovely restaurant a go, we were a party of 7 and had an amazing night. The food was 5 star and the service matched, friendly and accommodating. Particular favourites were the soft shell crab and salt cod croquettes, but to be honest as there were 7 of us we tried most things on the menu and not one disappointed - our only regret is that this is not on our doorstep or we would be very regular visitors.

Amazing atmosphere, the owners are such lovely people and make you feel well taken care off, great food!

The Poachers Brasserie, is a gem. Its a fantastic food experience not just a meal out. From the fantastic decor, relaxed warm inviting atmosphere to the superb fusion of food from across the world, its a mist visit place. Add to that a fantastic wine list, and you are in for a real treat.

First time of visiting. Have to say was pleasantly surprised. A beautiful place and the food was amazing. Can't believe we've never been before. A proper jem. We'll worth a visit. We will definitely be going again.

Poachers Brasserie in Thurlaston, what a little gem... Came here using a Groupon deal otherwise we'd probably never have discovered it but so glad we did.The presentation on the outside as a well kept quaint village pub gave way to a tasteful mix of traditional and modern in the bar. Moving on through to the dining room the look transformed again into comfortable trendy chic with tactile chunky farmhouse tables.A great clear manageable menu with tasty choices to play safe or experiment with. The prices in my humble opinion put it in the treat/ special occasion bracket of the average budget. The Groupon deal made this not so much of a stretch but be prepared to pay a supplement with a meal deal.The food itself was perfectly presented, perfectly cooked and full of taste and flavour.I had scallops in a yellow pepper sauce with baby grilled plum tomatoes as a starter and the 8oz Sirloin rare as a main full of taste with a melt in the mouth texture.Last but not least... the service... carried out by Stephanie (apologies if I've chosen the incorrect spelling) giving the perfect level of attention and unobtrusive service. So polite with a mix of English and Italian thank yous, your welcome and grazie etcNow we know of this lovely little place, I really wouldn't be surprised if we stop again for lunch in the not too distant future... highly recommend.

Had the tasting menu and every meal was delicious, great service too

The staff, service and food were great, we had a large party of 9 and they catered for us superbly, offered recommendations, the food was unique and very tasty, any issues we had were resolved promptly and with grace, will definitely come back here. Pricing was very reasonable. Great gin selection.

Delicious food, amazingly friendly staff, very accommodating. My friend is gluten intolerant and they we’re just so marvellous in trying to make dishes work for her and also have us a free scoop of ice cream simply because they knew we’d love the flavour. Chef even came out personally to ask us how our food was. 100% returning again!

The food was excellent here. The steak did look good but I’m afraid I remembered to take the photo after I began devouring it. However, I did remember to capture dessert. It was wonderful. Very light and not too sweet. Just perfect.The service here was excellent. Some of the best I’ve seen in this country.I will definitely be returning.
