Drinks were slow to come to the table so much so that the ice had practically melted. Food ok mediocre nothing to shout about. Staff very young happy to please but obviously under pressure to serve everyone. Would I visit again? Probably not

Had a meal last night at The Dovecote, decided to sit upstairs for a change. Less children, no offence.Had posh pigs with bubble and squeak mash ( basically fancier bangers and mash). Now I was expecting the bubble and squeak mash to have , well some greens maybe but instead it just had onions in, maybe it should be listed as onion mash.All tasty just not what I expected from the description.

One of my new favourite places. The friendly welcoming, not pushy, staff alongside great menu...whatever I choose I have food envy.....nothing has disappointed.... sparkly setting ...open and airy whilst maintaining cosy atmosphere... and great value...

Lovely meal with great friends! Only downside was custard was cold but they warmed it up, so sorted! Chicken was great!

Ate here twice recently. Sunday Roast was plentiful and good value. Also had a family night out choosing from the pub menu. Again all dishes were delightful and the waiter service was excellent. Well worth a visit.

The dovecote is a nice family friendly dining pub food is excellent with a good variety on the menu staff are friendly & efficient it also has a good range of beers . But if you go in the colder months prepare to sit and freeze we as others sat to eat our meal with our over coats on don't think we will go back until the weather warms up.

I would of not given any stars nut I can't. The food was awful my dinner was inedible my husband had a mixed grill and the chicken was grey the gammon was over cooked onion rings inedible. I advise people to save their money. I didn't pay for my meal they took it off the bill but they didn't seem bothered I think it might happen alot. Safe to say I will not be going back

As not from the area, I asked work colleague's where to eat, this place was recommended. Well i must say they chose well.Firstly a friendly greeting, as I've not pre booked, a table was found for me.Food I had was outstanding, full of flavour and texture and was presented beautifully.Service during and after was professional and welcoming.Highly recommend for a place to eat.

We ordered food for a takeaway collection. They have children's menu, and I was impressed with the choices available for vegetarians, food was packaged appropriately and still warm when we brought it home. They forget to give us sauces that were stated on the menu, but other than that we were happy with our food and service.
