The Sharnford Arms in Blaby

The Sharnford arms is a pub I passed for years on my weekly journey down the fosse way and I always thought "one day I'm going to try that place" so skip 10 years later and as a last minute idea to take my partner and kids for a mothers day treat, we finally get to try this beautiful pub.On entering you are greeted with a warm smiley welcome, a great choice of beers and a fresh tasting pint.The food menu is Chinese and a very good selection to choose fromFood was very nice and service of high standardsCan't wait to go againWe all really enjoyed itThank you

Very disappointed in the Chinese here, I order on a Tuesday and they deliver then I try on a Saturday night and get told we're not delivering to your area tonight but Tuesday when your not busy is fine. You can't choose which day you want to deliver to an area. You take my money on a Tuesday though no problem. Not good enough I'm afraid.

Traditional English boozer with a twist, Chinese restaurant which serves great food. This is an amazingly good dog friendly pub, canines are made as welcome as the people they bring in

Nice local pub with very friendly staff. It has a Chinese restaurant / takeaway incorporated in it which makes for a great mix.

Nice place but the ale/bitter is horrible! I'm a big ale drinker and I stop going to this place over a year ago because they didn't look after the beer, so I thought I give it another try and I found that if anything it's worse then before! I had a sample of one beer and it tasted horrible so I thought I play it safe and have a Abbott's ale, I could only drink half of it! It tasted like fizzy water! So we left and went to the pub down the road and they had Abbott's on so I tried it there and it tasted totally different.. smooth and tasty like it should be! So if you do come to this pub I recommend not to drink the cast ales! Properly why most people was drinking larger!

Very friendly and accommodating pub. Had 2 families - 4 children and 2 dogs and could not have felt more welcome by the landlord or locals. Will definitely be back for another walk and a pint (or 3 😁👍🏻)

Nice place, very traditional pub with the twist that it's all chinese food 😀 never a bad thing. The food was good and the service was brilliant my only criticism is that it was quite cold in there ( expected in a traditional building) with did make our food go a little cold but still thoroughly enjoyed it

A great local pub. No complaints. Food, staff and ambiance top notch. Might be visiting for a while if we can't get back to NZ
