Very disappointing visit. Meals came out to the table randomly. 3 meals were 10 minutes later than the first 5 meals. No apology given for the delay. No check back to see that everything was okay. The two Waitresses were just leaning on the bar chatting and drinking. Our table was not cleared after we had finished. We sat for an hour looking at our empty plates. No acknowledgement when leaving from the two Waitresses who appeared stuck to the bar. Too interested in their own conversation. A very poor experience. I feel the Area Manager needs to visit and sort this place out. I have complained directly to Greene King so hopefully things will improve.

Lovely food and atmosphere. Great staff too. Been here a few times and never disappoints

We visited here recently as a table of 6 on a Saturday afternoon. Was shown to the table at which there were five chairs and one menu. I noticed every table only had one menu on? Ordered drinks and had to sit down on one pint whilst the barrel was changed. I saw the server at the coffee machine so asked about the beer and she said it is sitting on the bar. She had not told us it was there, and the bar is five steps from our table. Really poor service. We noticed that the whole pub, front of house, was being run by two people - bar and dinner service. With regards to the food I would have to say it is over priced, even for a Greene King. Mains are not too bad but the starters and desserts are generally over priced. The food was mediocre, not terrible but not brilliant. The eggs on the gammon were solid (under heat lamp too long). Chocolate fondant had no runny chocolate in the middle so were effectively just muffins. We would not rush back.

My partner and I both ordered the beef Sunday dinner. Service was quick and polite. The dinner itself was a let down. Beef was very fatty. Roast potatoes were undercooked and tasteless (obviously out of the freezer). Cauliflower cheese was again presumably frozen and barely warm on the plate.Wasn’t asked if ‘everything was okay?’ during the meal but was asked if we were finished and could we take the plates later on.

Stopped off for a quick snack mid-way through a long cycle. Drinks were good. The staff were friendly. But loads of items were not available. Such a shame, we just wanted a sandwich or wrap. As there were no sandwiches we just ordered 2 portions of rosemary and sea salt chips.... What we got were just chips, no rosemary or sea salt. Toilets were clean and plenty of seating outside and a small play area for children. Nice place just a shame lots of items were out of stock including coffee.

Waited in a 20 min que each time for drinks, then waited over an hour for the food. Our child's sausages were rock hard and needed to be replaced. Then we had promised our children dessert, so reluctantly ordered and waited another hour for dessert!! Absolutely crazy.

Been here a couple of times recently & on both occasions, with a mate & we both had a meal, nothing to write home about but acceptable. The place itself is warm & inviting. The staff are friendly & helpful. There is a pool table which we haven't tried yet. We will return in the future.

Steak and ale pie delicious. Chocolate dessert ok but nothing special. Staff friendly and helpful but check the bill b4 paying as this was not the first time we were overcharged - only by one pint but ....!

Saturday lunch here with other half, chips weren't the best, a little under cooked and soggy. Otherwise food was ok and drinks were fine. A lot of tables reserved so it might be worth booking if there's a few of you

This little gem of a pub is my local, went through a spell where the wrong people were in charge but they soon fixed that and have an amazing team of management and staff. From front of house to the kitchen they're all friendly and welcoming. The beers are well kept and the food is lovely and great value for money. Not had a bad meal there since the new team took over.. Pete, Laura and the whole team should be proud of what The Wentworth Arms is becoming.. we'll done guys and gals...
