Chip Inn in Bolsover

Tiny little chip shop but very busy.Best scampi I've had from a chip shop in years. Chips were great and when I cooked some up the next day, even better.Very impressed with their tartar sauce, no tiny packet for once and could have only been improved by being homemade. That said the chilli sauce that came in a pot was top draw; loved it.Great place will definitely use again.

Lovely fish and chips , fab staff too .

First time I've been here. Was close to closing time but still cooked a fish fresh for me. Friendly and helpful.

Excellent products and service with good humour

Disgusting fish and chips everything tasted like it was cooked in weeks old fat will not be ordering again.

Food was ok burger buns have down graded order some pop and never got delivered with the food delivery driver said I can only bring it when I finish so my partner rang them to tell them and they said they will sort it then 30 mins later she rang again as still no pop in site and she was rudely answered with it will be there in a second and then they immediately put the phone down with no apology

The majority of the staff are nice, we are not keen on one staff member as they bang on the door far to hard, then leaves the food on the step and walks away before you answer the door. The rest of the staff are very nice. However, the food has gone massively downhill. I don't usually like fish and chip shop food, however this place used to be lovely and I so it's one of the two places I would have fish and chips from (only one in the area), now it's soggy, not cooked properly and have reduced the portion sizes considerably. The rest of the food has gone down hill as well. My partner usually loves fish and chips but even she wouldn't like to order from here anymore which is very unfortunate. This review would have been a 5 star had the food continued with its high standard

Call in occasionally when on a cycle route that takes me past here. Brilliant fish and chips and always friendly staff. Even in the current lockdown they have maintained the high standards and friendly approach.

The large Tadpole delux meal was fantasict too much to finish, 12 whole potatoes worth of chips i pieced them back together before i ate them to check. Brilliant staff.

Visited for a takeaway lunch. Had about a 10 minute wait for a fish to be cooked fresh which was fine. Food very tasty and will certainly call again.
