Loved the old coffee shop, food was great and great service. New coffee shop over priced on the cakes £3.99 We had a breakfast it was pre cooked. Toast was burnt and hard. The girl behind the counter was miserable Then my friend got in touch and for a cream tea and they were fully booked up.!! Been going there for 5 years having cream teas Sorry not any more

Visited these tea rooms today. Whilst the environment is very new and clean, there was a sign reading No Muddy Boots unfortunately the carpark is dirty and had large puddles and there was carpet on all the floor. The 2 poor young girls serving were struggling to cope with the amount of visitors and took 10 minutes to complete the order. The cook from the kitchen was having to bring out the cooked items to the tables complete with her apron on. Will be awhile before I return more staff are required.

The food was nice to be fair but the service is just diabolical.Took about 15mins to get served and then we were given dirty cutlery that had egg on and the glasses were vile! They had bits inside and the previous users fingerprints all over them. Asked for clean ones (the waitress agreed they were filthy) and she then brought back some that were just as dirty. One of the waitresses did not want to work for her wages. She looked around the room that was full of tables that needed clearing, looked back and saw that the cleaning station was full and went in the back; she did this repeatedly until someone else cleared the cleaning station. This cafe has fabulous potential as the tearoom itself is lovely and the food is decent… just a shame it’s being run by young work shy individuals, it needs some older staff.

Food and drinks were lovely, reasonably priced and the staff were friendly. However I feel the system in place for ordering just doesn't work. It wasn't overly busy, plenty of empty tables however the queue to order took ages due to drinks and cakes being served to you at the till. Order and pay at the till, fair enough but then why not do table service with all food and drinks. This system also meant two staff were constantly tied to serving at the tills which meant no one was checking tables outside which all needed clearing. We had to clear our own table and so did a couple at the side of us. Could be a lovely cafe but for me the system ruined the experience

The old tearoom/ coffee shop is small buth has a wonderful selection of cakes. Snack meals are very good and service is cheerful and helpful. Toilet facilities are limited and in the garden centre. However, a brand new coffee shop and Bistro is near completion and it will be a lovely place after Easter.

Been this afternoon and cafe was not busy.very nice atmoshere and cosy log fire was cracklin away.lovely decor and surroundings.only one member of staff working but she managed to deal with our order very easily.served with a lovely smile and very efficient.cafe appeared very clean and very snug.the quality of our food was top notch and on each ocassion that we have visited before have never been disapointed.the entrance is easily acessed by wheelchair as well as childrens buggies!.there is a very good selection from the menu including gluten free foods.when the sun comes out there is a nice patio area with table and chairs and these seem to be frequented by those out with there dogs as well as the cycling freturnity. There are no toilets in the cafe but there are some 20 yards away, these are shared with the very nice garden centre.
