The Gate Hotel in Bolsover

Just passing by and stumbled across The gate and i must say it was absolutely delightful!!! Greated by a lovely girl called sam,couldn't be more helpful and it was a fabulous home cooked meal!!! Why hadn't i heard of this little gem before??? Thankyou we will definitely be back..

Lovely family run village pub, beautiful food and great fun at Sunday quiz night

Agent last Sunday for a carvery . Was great. Very nice , had turkey which the carver shredded instead of slicing. Other than that it was great,will happily go back,

Had a lovely carvery meal there, super friendly staff and cosy atmosphere, can highly recommend.

Very nice carvery, good selection of meat and vegetables, salad bar too. Friendly staff. Outdoor seating and small play area for toddlers.

Excellent food and lots of it at a knock down price .. around £13 per head.. a busy place but a very welcoming place too..

Today 25th December 2021 my wife and l went out for Christmas Day dinner at The Gate Hotel. This is not something we've done before so I was a little nervous how things would go but I needn't have worried.The food was fantastic, I didn't realise you could have so many different types of stuffing or sausages! The decorations throughout second to none and nothing was to much trouble for any member of staff.Many thanks to all the people who helped us have a lovely time today and we are back again tomorrow.

This place is the best carvery. Homemade yourshire puds , and the place is like a curiosity shop , it's beautifully decorated and the Christmas decorations were beautiful. The owners are lovley people and so friendly and make us feel so welcome.
