I have booked a table on many occasions with family and friends and The Pump never fails to disappoint (unless they've run out of quiche which is a firm favourite with many patrons but there's other yummy food to tempt us on the menu so definitely not a complaint :-).A Wonderful, local venue, with local produce and delicious handmade, homestyle food; in a quaint cottage setting. The staff are friendly and helpful. The prices are fair considering they put a lot of effort into baking and creating fresh dishes daily and many of the ingredients are locally sourced.Would recommend.

The pump is such a wonderful place to eat in. The staff are lovely, so polite and very helpful, nothing is too much trouble for them. The food is delicious. A good choice on the menu and a good portion size given. The cakes are homemade and so yummy. I will definately keep visiting this great little tearooms.

Great food Lovely staff can't do enough for you. Called in to pay a deposit for a birthday afternoon tea so thought we would eat whilst there. Looking forward to next visit 😀

Shame they Don't stay open a little longer. This place is so special love going there. Food is five star. And the choice of cakes is to die for.

So glad we stopped here for lunch today. The food was delicious and it was very family friendly with a great selection of food options for our children. Really cosy and a great atmosphere. We’d be happy to visit again!

Had a lovely pre Christmas meal and too stuffed to eat anything else.....wait we've got a ham and nibbles for tonight. Now I know how the turkey feels. Merry Christmas to you all.

Delicious food, as ever, at the Pie Night at the Pump on Saturday evening. Wonderfully presented steak and ale pies with loads of glorious gravy for my hubby and kids and a cheese and onion pie for me, served with veg and choice of potatoes with very attentive, patient staff with our children who loved the food as well, especially the chocolate pudding with ice cream! We've already booked in for breakfast for Christmas eve, a family tradition for us. What a great place for our town.

Accommodated us even after breakfast finished at 11:30am. Quiet little cafe that gives out really high quality food. Quick service as well so if you’re hungry, you don’t have to wait long. Also, good prices.
