Literally love this place. It's super old and qwerky inside, outside is great in the day or evenings! Bar staff really friendly and nice, warm atmosphere and everyone just does their own thing with friends and family. Love it.

Beautiful Vintage style place, lovely attitude and good people working there.Alcohol prices are good comparing with other places.

Very nice place to have a drink, and lunch etc, nice cosy areas to sit and meet friends to have a chat, even a lovely warm log burner to sit around on a cold winters day. Thoroughly recommend.

Afternoon tea was awful. Paid £14 for half a dry old pork pie, half a sausage roll, various bite size pieces of cake that were clearly bought from a supermarket, cheesecake was soggy and a strange texture. The sandwiches were ok apart from the cucumber one which hadn’t been refrigerated and was warm! The scones seemed freshly baked but were burnt on the top. 5 of us ordered and most of it went back. We mentioned it to the landlady when we paid and she was really rude and hostile, she basically said we should have said something sooner, offered us a free afternoon tea voucher but it will not be used, the place was unkempt and dirty! Avoid! The White Hart is much better!

Absolutely awful customer service. They pick and choose which customers they give which deal to, who they ID and who they give good service to. You can go in on a Wednesday and they'll give you the best service ever and be all over you and not ID you. Then go on a Saturday and feel like they don't even want you there. Staff are rude and unfriendly and the place is an absolute dive. Who serves cocktails in a 1/2 pint Carling glass?

Awful customer service. We requested a 2 for £5 pint offer which we was told this is not on during the weekend, however a gentleman then came up to the bar and ordered the offer off the same staff member who put it through. We said this was unfair but was happy to leave it at that, thanked the staff for the drinks and sat down. The landlady then came and found us and rudely told us it’s only for their Regulars who spend more time there and if we didn’t like it to leave they had no problem if we didn’t ever come back. Felt really uncomfortable. Disappointed as it’s somewhere I usually enjoy. Would give no stars if I could.

OMG the afternoon tea was amazing. We had to bring some home. Roaring fire attentive staff fantastic food . We are definitely going back.

·

Lovely quiet and cosy bar to get comfy and have a cocktail or 2 in the afternoon next to the log burner 🍹🥂🔥

·

A nice pub and also with reasonable prices, we just stopped to take a couple of beers so the food I cannot comment on. But the environment was nice and it was neat and clean. We will be happy to return the next time we visit Boston.
